Kirby Triple Deluxe is amazing, it was a short game and quite easy to beat. I still enjoyed it. Pokemon Yellow was the one I bought, I was quite surprised they released them on 3ds but it was a nice surprise.

Hiya everyone. We are moving away from consoles (for now) and going portable. I really love my 3DS, and while I didn't play many 2016 releases I did play alot of good games. Here is part 1 of my favorite 3DS Games of 2016:
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D: I know, this game came out in 2015, and I got it at launch but didn't finish it till last year actually. Original Wii port is a massive game, it's quite an achievement porting this to a handheld. The New 3DS version doesn't really offer much in terms of new content, there's a sound test, there's a model viewer to view the character models from the game, and amiibo functionality. Spoiler, amiibo doesn't do much. It's an amazing game and while I think the Wii version is the definitive way to play it, the New 3DS version should be good enough if you've missed the original Wii version.
Pokemon Red: This was an unexpected surprise last year, just in time to kick off with the 20th anniversary of the series. I remember wanting Pokemon Red as a kid but got Blue version instead. It didn't bum me out since both versions were the same. But finally got the version I always wanted. The Virtual Console release has all the glitches intact from the original. The games are massively dated from the current games, but there was nothing like this back in the day and a good way to relive nostalgia if you're a long time fan like me, or a newcomer who wants to see how the original games were.
Kirby Triple Deluxe: Yes I know, this game came out a long time ago. It wasn't till this year that I played through the whole game and finished it. It's a very fun game with some really good music and has some really good use of the 3D Effect. It's almost like a portable version of Returns to Dreamland since it's basically the same engine. Definitely worth a look, especially now that's been budget priced as a Nintendo Selects game.
Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link: I know what you're thinking "out of all the Zelda games, why did you play this one?" Well since I never tried this one, I had it as a free 3DS Ambassador game, so I thought I might as well give this one a go. I haven't finished it yet, but I can say it's very different from the rest of the games. It definitely has more rpg-like elements to it and I can see a bunch of things the later games borrowed from this one like towns, sword techniques, and whatnot. It's not as hard as I thought it would be but quite challenging.
That's all for now, part 2 is tomorrow so hope you look forward to that. Thanks for reading and...
