Yoshi's Woolly World is a GREAT game, but I was able to get the Poochy amiibo separately, so I won't get it again on the 3DS. I have all the Yarn Yoshi amiibo, even the Mega Yarn Yoshi. Yeah, I need help. :)

Wrote this yesterday, forgot to change "draft" to "live"!
When this game was announced, I told myself I was not going to get it. I already have Yoshi's Woolly World on the Wii U, and while I really enjoyed it, I could not see justifying getting the same game on my 3DS just to play it on the go (or in bed, let's be honest). Then Nintendo said "new amiibo", and I knew it was over from that point on. Luckily, with my Gamer's Club discount at Best Buy and a $10 reward certificate, the game with the the amiibo only cost me $30. Money well spent? I think so!
If you haven't played this game at all, the amiibos are a good representation for how the entire game looks. I was a huge fan of Kirby's Epic Yarn, so I was happy to see that Yoshi's Woolly World took all the charm of that game and then added its own twists. With Yoshi, you have to save his friends who have been unravled by Kamek (rude). Putting them back together again by finding their yarn skeins in each level opens up a new design for your own Yoshi.
Besides yarn, there are other collectables in each level, making the game fun but challenging. In the 3DS version, all levels are the same as the original, but new Poochy levels have been added. These are super fun run and jump levels where you need to collect certain things or perform certain challenges to clear the level. With the Poochy amiibo, you can also bring Poochy into any level in the main story. He can help you find things you are missing, or get out of trouble spots.
One of the best added features, however, is the addition of the "craft" room. Here, you can design your own Yoshi, save it, and share it through StreetPass. We made a chocobo Yoshi, and he is perfection.
If you're looking for a light, relaxing item-collecting game, I would highly recommend Yoshi's Woolly World. I just wish I had gotten the pink and blue yarn Yoshi amiibos when I had the chance!
