Nes games..I got some lol. One side of my gaming room!!

So I am getting cold turkey..I have not blogged in a while, so I am starting to shake and get cold fevers lol. But on the serious side. I need to blog!

So what should I blog about?? Well how about my nes gaming collection. If you have read some of my earlier blogs, I started a nes game collection. Why?? Why not?? I thought it would look cool!!

But hey that is me.. So about 2 years ago. I started to really get into it. When I fist started it, I had about 20 or so games. Games that I remember that playing as a young gamer.

So one time I had friends come over, and they were like, hey do you have this or that..I was like no..All I have is these 20 games. I was like man, this kinda sucked!! I wanted my friends to play what they remembered playing as kids as well. So my brother was kinda joking around and say why don't you collect them all! A light bulb popped up in my head..Now it was collecting time!!

As of now, I have 310 carts and trying to get more.. So I leave you one part of game room, just for nes games..There is games in the back as well. So i can stack them as best as i can in my game room. I am limited to space in my game room.

That's an awesome collection man! It looks great on your shelf too. I have about 60 something NES games. I keep them in a shelf with doors so they don't gather too much dust. I can't help but notice that Virtual Boy down there. We used to have one of those things. Talk about some massive headaches lol.

Yeah virtual boy!! Works great..It is just kinda hard to play on the thing..Hard to find a comfortable position to play long sessions.!! For some reason..The room..Well it was a office...The previous home owner did that..The room does not have a light?? So I had to put a lamp to play nightime. It has some blinds in the room..So the room is always dark..But I kid you not..The stuff does not get dusty at all???

yeah it still does somewhat, but I know how to clean them. Plus they are in sleeves and I started buying cases for them. Some of them don't ever want to work. Like Ninja Gaiden and Mario 2. I can't imagine how long it'd take to clean your entire collection lol. I never could find a comfortable position of the VB either. Are you gonna post pics of the rest of your collection?

Yeah imagaine..I cleaned every game so they would all work on the first try!! Yeah..Well to be honest..I clean them as I get them..cause I would go crazy if I had 300 nes game to clean at one time!!

When we were looking for housed, that was one of the things I told my wife..My wife wanted this and that..I said hey does it have a room..does not have to be a gameroom..Just a room where I can store my games and play them?? Yes?? Ok let's get it!! Cause I was living in a small 1 room apt..Yeah my wife made me hide all my games..It messed up the decor of the apt?? Lol, love my wife she is crazy lol

Behold, the holy shelves! I'd try to actually collect more retro games too but I don't know if I have the space. lol. This is why I use a lot of emulators and roms these days.

Hey I do not blame you, I felt the same way! At my parents house i had a somewhat small room, so i could not really collect much..Just the games that I was playing at the time.

Thanks, this is my doing organized lol. I say that cause if i lived by myself, i would have games at the eating table, kitchen, bedroom and other places. My wife said hey here is your gameroom keep all your stuff in here nice and tight.

So that has helped me keep track of what I have, and it helps me play games..I won't be looking under a pile of dirty clothes to find that one game!!

Holy crap, that's a lot of games! Nice! Mine have only recently been organized, but yours look well kempt. This reminds me, still haven't found several boxes, or my copy of Pokemon Blue...

That is a lot of NES carts. I love it. I wish I had that many old school games. Maybe I should pick up the banner for myself here and start roaming the used and retro game stores.

Here in Chi-town there's quite a few gaming stores that operate on a used/retro model. I'll take pics and post next time I hit one up.

Your setup is certainly cleaner than mine. I've got my NES carts stacked vertically due to the size of my shelving, and my CIBs are a bit helter-skelter, but at least everything fits.

Thanks it is hard to keep it nice and clean, but it is so worth it!

Very impressive! And so organized,too. I like that part. People who are careful to organize their games and take care of them usually get so much more out of them. Saw a guy walk into GameStop with a stack of scratched up dirty disks and no cases in his hand just yesterday. They sent him packing pronto! I've been thinking of starting a collection of NES games of my own. You have inspired me greatly with yours.

Thanks!! Yeah I plan to write my blog about my full game room..Since I want to keep on collecting games..I have to organize to cram as many games as i can..Hopefully the wife is nos reading this lol.
