The original Mega Man is a classic, but it's another one of those games that is brutally difficult. It's often overlooked in favor of Mega Man 2 and 3, which are both superior games. This is why Capcom remade this game in 2006 for the PSP, calling it Mega Man Powered Up. It features chibi-style characters (which is adorable) and has two new robot masters in addition to the original six. Another new feature is that if you can defeat a robot master using only the mega buster, you capture and reprogram that robot master, allowing you to play as him in other levels. The robot masters also have voices, which is really cute. A level creator mode and a challenge mode were also great additions. Sadly, this game sold poorly and has been overlooked, but it remains a great remake of a truly classic game.

I'm not really into Mega Man, but... I wish I was. Just too difficult for me, I'm impatient.

I don't blame you, MM games are some of the most difficult. I have played many of them, but I've only beat one, of which I am very proud.

I love the design of the Mega Man games. I want that amiibo.

The art style is great. And the amiibo (and Mega Man's design for SSB) perfectly captures that classic NES look.

I love Mega Man Powered Up.  It's one of my top favorite PSP games alongside Loco Roco 1 & 2, Gurumin, Ys Seven, and Half-Minute Hero.  I wish Capcom would make a Mega Man Powered Up 2!  And 3, and...

Yeah, apparently they were going to make a sequel, but the sales for the game weren't very good, so no sequel.

Honestly, I think 3 was the hardest one of the initial trilogy by far. I could beat all 8 bosses in 1 and 2, but I had difficulty just getting past a stage or two in 3.

That's strange, I find the first game to be the hardest, but that's just me. The only MM game I've beaten is MM X on SNES.

I've never beaten any of them due to the difficulty ramp in the castle stages, but MMX is by far the closest I've come. I want to say I made it to the final boss's second form or something.

I can attest to the awesomeness of this remake! This game has so much content. It even includes a faithful re-creation of the original game with the new assets. Sucks that it didn't sell well enough to warrant a Powered Up 2 and 3 Frown

Right now we could use a powered up 2! Or anything Mega Man!
