Time for the next batch of games!
Super Mario 3D World- 3D World is really fun. While not Galaxy levels of innovative, it's a chaotic multiplayer cat meowing experience. There are some great level designs, the cat power up is fun to use, the soundtrack is jazzy, Captain Toad got a game from it, and Bowser has a pimpmobile! Nuff' said.
Smash was realased for both 3DS and Wii U. There are differences between the two, but I'll always identify Smash as a home console fighter you can play with friends and others alike. The formula is the same frantic fighting refined to an hd experience. With 60 characters to choose from it's the most expansive smash list so far. Where else can you go to have Mario, Pac-Man, and Mega Man fight each other?
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is the first Tekken game to be released on a Nintendo system. There are some neat additions to the Wii U version as well such as mushroom battle and the return of a volleyball mode. It's a solid fighting game if you're in for something other than Pokken Tournament. Online is dead however, unlike Pokken.
Terraria is one I just bought. I'm not sure what it's about, but I hey it was $20 so I'll give it a try. My verdict currently is unknown! Maybe someone has played it and hopefully tell me good things!
Tom Clancy has a game for every occasion. Splinter Cell: Black List is really fun. I've played other Splinter Cell games and Black List is right up there in terms of one of the better games in the series. I always look forward to the adventures of Sam Fisher. Maybe one day we can get a splinter cell movie? After all Tom Clancy novels have been well received with Jack Ryan's adventures...maybe give Sam Fisher a shot.
The Wonderful 101 is awesome. The controls can be a bit tough to wrap your head around, but it's a solid strategic superhero beat em up. With it's over the top dialogue, heroes, situations, and gameplay. The Wonderful 101 is an absolute blast to play. Plus that theme song!
Watch Dogs is an open world hacking game in the vein of GTA. You take on the role of angry Aiden Pierce who goes on a revenge tour of Chicago for the people responsible in the killing of his niece Lena. It's an okay game. The hacking is pretty simple usually consisting of rotating the wires in the circles, but overall I enjoyed it. Plus some of the challenges are fun and I really enjoyed the mini game Spider Tank.
Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper is another Warriors game. As I mentioned in Hyrule Warriors I've never really played Warrior games a lot. I usually start them, play about midway through and get bored. I think the only Warriors game I've finished is Hyrule Warriors. Still if you like musou games...it's pretty enjoyable.
Wii Party U is the sequel to Wii Party. It's alright. It's better as a multiplayer experience at parties. All I know is for some reasons it's expensive to find. I got a copy for $20...it goes for $40 or more online.
Yoshi's Wooly World is just a cute little innocent game. Everything in the World is made of yarn. Much like Kirby this game is impossible to hate. It's a bit on the easy side, of course being a yoshi game and including a mellow mode for you to float and fly forever. But gosh darn is it just so lovable! I wanna yarn poochy!
And here is Zombi U. Zombi U is really interesting. It's a fun and frantic launch game that could be really fun. Survive the streets of London during a Zombie invasion with the help of "The Prepper" a voice on the radio who has prepared for this day. At times you'll manage your inventory with your gamepad, or use the gamepad for hacking. It's no wonder the the Zombi re-release failed to deliver that same experience. This game was perfect for the gamepad...take it away and you get a fairly average game
Also this isn't everything! Join me tomorrow as I show off the Big Boxes and Special Edition games!
