Hiya everyone, how are you? Today we are going back to the past a bit with what I like to think is a modern day classic anime. The name of this anime is called Earth Maiden Arjuna.

Earth Girl Arjuna

This one was recommended by a friend of mine and decided to give it a go. The anime starts with a girl named Juna and her boyfriend Tokio. Juna asks him that she wants to go to the Sea of Japan, but on the way there they get into an accident. It was no normal traffic accident as it was caused by an invisible creature.

As not to spoil much on it, Juna is saved by a boy named Chris in exchange for saving the planet. Juna agrees to do so. How will she save the planet? Well Juna has to awaken her powers in order to do so.

You see, the world is dying and what's causing it is the Raaja, which is showing you how the world is dying. The Raaja is everywhere can take many different shapes and forms and can be found in anything from outside in nature to the very food we eat. The Raaja is what caused Juna and Tokio to get into that accident. Juna has to awaken her powers in order to stop the world from dying from the Raaja.

The Raaja can even take the form of thoughts, words, and emotions too. The thing is that normal humans can't see it but only a select few like Juna can. In fact, the Raaja can be around people at any given moment but they wont even notice it's even there. People can however see the Raaja manifest into shape the same way the wind takes shape and form in the form of tornadoes and whatnot. So it can look like a natural disaster or an accident to some but in reality it's something much more.

I really loved this anime. It's a real eye-opener in some sense. It touches on various themes and shows that there's alot of things wrong in our world, or we just refuse to believe it and just ignore it. The music is fantastic, it matches the anime well. Initial D used to have my favorite soundtrack in any anime ever, but this rivals it in my opinion. It's definitely up there tied with Initial D as my favorite anime soundtracks.

I highly recommend it. It's an obscure, or maybe not obscure, but maybe not well known? It's from 2001 and there's cgi in it, but it's around the time in my opinion that cgi in anime got better, like Initial D 3rd Stage the Movie at least. So yes, if you can find a way to check it out, then do. It's my favorite anime that I watched last year.

Just a friendly reminder that you have till tomorrow to submit something for that Q/A thing. So thanks for reading and...

What's your favorite anime of all time? Would you be able to list at least your top 10? (QA question).

And this looks like anther wacky premise getting serious. God bless anime. Thanks, Buddha!
