Mozilla – Baby Save Me

In 2012 Mozilla teamed up with Brian Holland, who helped create the Motown Sound to release the Brian Holland Sessions, an album of new songs with that Motown sound. I think I discovered this album by accident while looking for more music that Mozilla had recorded. The reason why I chose this song from this album because I really like the story about a person who longs to be back with the person they love while presented in a modern take on the Motown Sound. This is one of the few albums that I bought the digital copies first before tracking down a physical CD. This is an excellent album, and one of those albums that can be played on repeat on a Sunday Afternoon.

I'm digging the classic sound. Reminds me of when I first heard Fitz & the Tantrums before their sound became more poppy.

I somewhat perfer the Stax/Volt sound to Motown but it's all good.
