Damn that Marcello!

I've put down Dragon Quest VIII for a while after a frustrating party wipe by Marcello. I didn't think I was going to have a problem given that my entire team is in the mid 50's as far as levels go and at first I was doing fine. Then he casts Thwack (insta-kill) two turns in a row and takes out everyone.

Looking it up on the internet none of the walkthroughs even mention him having this ability. Pissed me right off so I shut it down.

I'm into season 8 of X-files now. I'd forgotten that Mulder isn't in most of that season. Lots of Doggett and Scully episodes.

Does Thwack have a 60s Batman text animation? Seems like it should. I definitely wouldn't share my steak fingers with that Marcello guy. Dick.

He did it two times in a row??? Holy shit! He only did it once to me the entire fight. Damn, that is freaking ridiclous. You can do it, you can kick his ass!

Yep I got him the second time. He still killed Yangus though even with an Holy Talisman equipped. He killed Angelo first but hero brought him back with a leaf. The whole battle was over in less than 10 turns but Yangus was just lying there and got no experience.

Marcello eh? I'll be keeping an eye on him.

They only had Red Pandas in Zoo Tycoon and only in mini-environments. They're kinda small.

From what I've read up on, Thwack was added to his moveset for the port. I'm usually paranoid when it comes to insta-death moves so I had some equipment set up to resist it a little without realizing but since it didn't block completely the fight was still a challenge.

So where did Mulder go during that season? As for that Instakill move that would be throw the control worthy...or shut the game off.

Probably in rehab for his sex addiction. He shows up in a repeated scene in the first two episodes where he is being experimented on. His entire output is screaming while they do their stuff and yelling "Scully". Then he's gone and Agent John Doggett takes his place.
