Only two monumental things happened to me this past weekend:
1) I guest-starred again on the Entertainment Landfill podcast where the host and I conversed about a variety of topics (recent gaming habits and anticipation for future releases; showbiz news and rumors) but the big topic was the super-spoilery geeking out we did on John Wick Chapter 2. It was a fun 2 hours to spend on a Friday night and the episode is available on either iTunes or Podbean if you're so inclined.
2) I caught up on sleep in a big way. I'm pretty sure I spent most of Saturday in bed. I wasn't sick. I just truly slept in, safe in the thought that I had no pressing items on the day's agenda. Maybe I was catching up on sleep that I had lost (and I'm no doctor so my theory probably sounds moronic) earlier in the week.
Work was as usual. Softball season starts tomorrow with the first home game. The restrooms are ready for them for the most part. Between the end of last year's season and Saturday (when I cleaned them), some jerks vandalized the paper towel and foam soap dispenser to tiny little bits. And of course, there were some unflushed toilets filled with waste. All evidence of that mess is gone.
I don't think I watched anything over the weekend. I spent more time in The Division, doing mostly solo quests. I took on some missions and there's one in particular that kept handing my ass to me when the boss battle arrived. I even tried quick matchmaking with others and still had trouble. I stopped after a while and went online to see if my skill/talent tree needed to be reconfigured. An IGN article provided a decent build for solo play so I changed to that and I had an easier time. I still haven't ventured into the PVP section of the game aka The Dark Zone. I'm postponing that madness as long as possible.
Horizon Zero Dawn is almost here and I haven't been so crazy about a game's release since Overwatch. This will end up being one of the two or three $60 games I buy every year so I'm glad the advance buzz on it is mostly positive.
