Hello everyone, how are you? We're going back to video games now for the last few posts. I've been meaning to posts these for a while. So here are my most recent gaming achievements from 2016 up to right now as well as what I'm currently playing...

Sly Trilogy: I got the trilogy as a birthday present from my brother and I really loved the games. I got the platinum trophies for all 3 games. They were pretty easy platinums. Yes the platinum trophy icons are the same for all 3 games, but thought it would be funny to include them.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West: I remember getting this on sale back in 2011 but I never finished it. I thought why not get the platinum while I'm at it? It's a great game, if easy. Platinum wasn't too bad, just maybe time consuming if you miss a collectible.

Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing: I remember my brother got this game, but at the time he didn't have his own PSN account, so get got a bunch of trophies in it. He has his own account now and has the platinum. Decided to finish what he started. There was still a fair bunch to do, but an enjoyable game nonetheless.

NFS: Shift: Got this one last year as I've already mentioned it in a previous post. The platinum trophy was pretty fun to get. You just have to grind for a few things like get a number of points with certain cars and whatnot. Was a really satisfying platinum.

Sonic Unleashed: This is probably by far the hardest platinum trophy I've ever went for but probably one of the most satisfying one I have. It's the last platinum I got in 2016. As some of the trophy requirements for it are just absurd. Especially EggmanLand. One of the challenges has you beat that level 3 times without dying once as there's no checkpoints. Never again.

NFS: Rivals: This one was a bit tricky to get. The game is very fun and the trophies are easy to obtain. The problem is that it has online trophies. You need to play with friends and I don't know anyone with the game. I had to get help from a forum. This is actually my first platinum of 2017.

 

So after over a year of preperation in Xenoblade Chronicles X, I have finally defeated Telethia, the Endbringer in the game, which is like the final boss of the postgame. It's really hard to take down. You have to properly equip your Skell, which requires alot of grinding for materials to boost stats, raise evasiveness, resistances, and so forth and all of that is incredibly time consuming. Only took that long to take down because I took a break. I also didn't have a full optimized build yet, so I decided to take my chances and took it down. I'm one step closer to getting 100% in the game. This might be my favorite achievement of the year so far.

 

NFS Hot Pursuit: This is a very old game but I keep coming back to it. Sometimes I just play it to just relax and sometimes to beat my own best times. I hink I'm at a point were I'm really good at the game since there's quite a few tricks I know on how to cut my time now. Really nothing special but still play it to relax sometimes.

Pokemon Moon: I got this game since Christmas and I still haven't finished it. I guess because I have been playing it in moderation or because I haven't been using my 3DS that much lately. I guess I'm too excited for Link vs. Wild and the Switch. I hope to finish it before Zelda releases. It's a great game though and could be one of the best Pokemon games in a while.

 

Persona 3: Been keeping this one a secret for a while. A friend of mine recommended this game to me a while back and I just started it in early January. I'm really enjoying it so far, it's really good. Can't say how far I am in the game because of spoilers, hence why I used the title screen for an image, but I can say the story is very good. This is what I've been playing since the begining of the year and I'm glad I started it with a good game. I'm most likely gonna keep playing this when Link vs. Wild releases. Not sure how far I am to finishing it but don't want to abandon it.
