Journey (ps3)---I have no words to explain...

so i finally got to play Journey for the PS3.

Maybe its because I had to re-start my anti-anxiety meds, but I can't remember.... EVER, really, playing a game that made me feel how this game made me feel

short but sweet.  gorgeous at every turn.  the music... unbelieveable.  I was literally sad when the game ended.  Watching the character in a game with no real story and interaction with other gamers, but this feeling majesty and grandour as the game went on... amazing.

This is why I will be dragged into the next generation of consoles kicking and screaming.  Because I have missed gorgeous games like this on this system that I have still to play.

This is a game I wish I could play, but being I dont have a ps3 I will not get that chance, with that said I have heard awesome things about this game.

Ryan, I so completely understand what you're saying. It's also a game that the experience can change dramatically from one play-through to the next. I played it the evening it released, and then again the next morning. The first time was completely different than the second time. My first play-through, there were lots of other wanderers that I interacted with, but the second time, I traveled with the same person for the whole game. This is also the first game I have ever gone out of my way to get the sound track for. Pretty much answers the "are games art?" debate as far as I'm concerned.

I hope the next gaming generation will bring more creativity and diversity to the table. This gen has been kinda bland for me though yes, occasionally I'm blessed with a  wonder of a gem like Terraria or Nier.

I've seen Journey played but sadly the experience is lost on me because I don't have a ps3. Frown

I have a psp though thanks to a friend. Life isn't all bleak!

Well, I don't have a PS3, so I guess I'll have to start abusing anxiety medications.

I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm kidding of course; I'm interpreting from that last sentence in your blog you're a late adopter of a PS3, and I plan to be one, unless I buy a PS4 instead, or both, but I need more cash. I'm definitely sad about missing a lot of experiences by skipping this gen.
