SDSU Marching Aztecs – Pregame (the first four minutes or so of the video)

 

Ok for the final song in the Island mix I am going with kind of a cheat and that is the SDSU Marching Aztecs Pregame Show. This was my favorite part of game day because of the energy that surrounds it. Being a kid from a small town, and going to a school who's population is more than 50% of the size of that town, SDSU was a city to me but when I first stepped on campus for band camp the pregame was the first pieces of music I learned. It starts with an intro that changes every season, the Fight Song, Aztec Fire (my personal favorite), and then it would go to the National Anthem, a feature song (usually something from the field show) the fight song again, and to end it we march and create a lane for the football team to run through. The first four minutes of the video basically gives you an idea of what the pregame looks like.

I loved the energy of this time, especially playing through Aztec Fire. To this day that is what I miss the most about being in Marching Band. Having that feeling of nerves, and excitement and just looking around and not even thinking about what I am playing next.

 

Well Pixlpeeps thank you fore sticking with my playlist of songs I would have on a mixtape if I was stuck on an island. It was a lot of fun picking out songs that I could listen to on repeat and it was especially fun to read your blogs.
