Hi - My Name is Blake and I'm a Crazy Cat Lady

So I'm working on a review of the movie Martyrs, that is, right after I recover from having watched the movie Martyrs. After watching such a hellish film, I needed to  recover and have some joy in my life, so I thought I'd make a blog about my cat.

All the photos I have of her are currently of her sleeping. Which is maybe for the best, since when she's awake she is fucking crazy town banana pants. I have far too many scratches everywhere, and she has so much energy that I can't keep up sometimes.

Fortunately, she's pretty well behaved for the most part. The only real problem is she likes to attack cords, but we're going to cover them in a scent she doesn't like soon so hopefully that works.

As you can tell from the picture above, she really likes sleeping with her Pancham plush.

She also really likes to watch me play games on my computer, and often times will help me by also attacking whats on screen. She likes games with pretty colours, like Secrets of Grindea, and she also weirdly likes attacking black characters, like the lead from Watch Dogs 2, or my character in ESO. I like to tell myself its because she can see the contrast and not because we have a little Nazi kitten.

Arya is around 11 weeks now (we're not 100% sure since she was a rescue kitty) and she's getting so big! Like, she seems to be getting bigger by the hour at times. We also can't tell if we want to spell it Arya (a song of ice and fire) or Aria (for castlevania reasons).

We're trying to get her to stop playing so rough at the moment, which isn't working because I maybe like playing rough with her. She also climbs up me and sits on my shoulder while I walk around. Yesterday she watched intently as I brushed my teeth, and then jumped head first into the mirror. She's not the brightest of kittens.

Anyway, this is totally just an excuse to show you pics of my cat and get them out of my system. I'm going to leave you with the best song about a cat ever.

I'm on my 3rd laptop cord and 2nd ipod charger cord thanks to my cat. She's like those troubled Russian orphans that try to stab you at night so you end up putting them on a plane and sending them back with a cookie.

I think you've been transmogrified into a late twenties single girl.

That's one cute kitty. I think she's just what you needed. :)

That kitten is adorable. Also, kittens are not the brightest of animals when it comes to domestic life, but that's partly cause they're still wired for hunting. Humans have only let them indoors recently while a lot of their cousins were being used as mouse chasers.

When I was a kid, I had a Russian Blue cat named Chekov who loved to watch me play Nintendo games.  He would either swat at the screen or try to push the buttons on my controller.  He was a really smart cat, too.  I taught him how to play fetch, open doors, and use the toilet.  No lie.

Look at those feet!

She's like Laura in Logan.

As in she's adorable but also a vicious killer who was adopted by a weird guy with a beard? Yeah that sounds about right.

OMG! I didn't realize there was more to that comparison. Where ya hiding Caliban and Prof. Xavier.

Man... Caliban would be an awesome name for a dog when I get one.

And Prof. Xavier for a pet bird (I'm thinking of an owl but I'm not sure you can make a pet of an owl).

You can have pet owls, though they're a lot of effort. They're nocturnal, so you have to look after them at night. They get really stressed if things break their routine and they make weird noises when stressed. Also, they can utterly fuck you up with their claws.

I may have looked a little too much into having an owl as a pet :p

Ha ha! Awesome. Owls was on my mind because I was reading The Books of Magic comic by Neil Gaimon. It seems it must've been an influence on Harry Potter because both main character's are nearly identical and have owl pets. Also, I didn't know Merlin had an owl as a pet. My friend told me that and I was surprised. Things you learn.

Your discription of your cat is hilarious. It reminds me of when Brian on Family Guy when he says he's not racist yet barks at the black guy.

Oh no! So if she gets too pretentious and up her own butt I'll have to get Quagmire to come over and yell at her for 10 minutes!
