Over the past month I came into a little money and went on a little spending spree. I probably boosted my collection by about 80 physical games and around 30 or so digital on various system. I also managed to snag a back-up Vita, a New 3DS, PS Vita TV, PS4 VR, and a Retrobit Generations. I've also boosted my Skylanders collection quite a bit as well. I've recently cut myself down to 1 day a week at work due to health reasons, so I currently have plenty of free time to enjoy my new goodies.

So where to start? I guess the Retrobit Generations is a good a place as any. When this thing was first announced I was beyond excited. With its vast game line-up from various systems and publishers, this thing was gonna be amazing. I had watched numerous reviews on this thing on You Tube and unfortunately there were a lot of negative ones. Still I figured some of these reviewers were just hyper anal and wanted 100% perfect emulation. So when I finally got the thing in I eagerly hooked it up and began playing. About 5 minutes in I was completely disgusted. The emulation was completely off and ruined about 80% of the titles on this thing. Sure they have the Genesis version of Mercs, but the emulation on this one is so poor its unplayable. Its like they cranked the frame-skip all the way up. Other games like Bases Loaded run just fine, but its missing all the voices. Its really a shame they released this thing the way they did. Im sure they wanted to rush it out to compete with the NES mini, and make a quick buck off the holiday rush and that is about it. If your interested in playing any of the classics on this, then I suggest one of the countless emulators on PC, soft mod an original Wii, or purchase whatever is available on the stores of various consoles.

As for the PS Vita TV, this thing was a let down as well. Like the Retrobit, I really wanted this thing. Unfortunately the compatibility of this thing sucks. I figured I could just sign into my PSN account and download a bunch of my PS1 games I've purchased and play those. Nope no such luck here either since it informs me I have too many active devices. Really? Couldn't you at least let me play the stuff as long as my account is online.

Out of all my purchases the PS4 VR is hands down my favorite. If you have not tried VR yet then you really need to. Its not a gimmick that is going to fade away like 3D. VR is the future of gaming. You simply cannot get a grasp of what VR is like unless you try it. The closest thing I can compare it to is being there. All is not perfect with the PS4 VR though. First off the tracking sucks. It can really pull you out of the game when your constantly holding the Options button to readjust. I loved Job Simulator on my friends Vive VR, but on PS4 its not nearly as fun and can feel really awkward. Why Sony invested so much into VR only to use the same old camera, and move controllers is beyond me. Maybe they didn't want to scare people with the price, but I say at least give people an option to use a better camera.

Anyway, im off to play some games. I'll be sure to post again here soon. Im not really sure what, but maybe I could do something on my Skylanders obsession.

Any motion sickness? Im not too bad  with it. Using the free walk in Croft Manor on Rise of the Tomb Raider is something i;ll never do again. I felt sick right into the next day.

I'll tell u I had no problems until I played Resident Evil 7.  I got so sick, I'm not sure why, maybe the motion sickness, maybe cause the frame rate is so low, and it freaked me out. But I played it twice and same experience.   It's too bad because other than that it was REALLY cool.

Its 60fps in the RE7 VR mode. It moves slow yeah, but Sony made it mandatory all VR games had to be at 60fps. Anyway, I didn't really feel sick playing that one in VR. Its scarey as anything though. Rigs, and Battlezone make me feel a little sick, but for the most part both are playable in 20-30 minute burst.

Have u played Eve?  That's very disorienting, but it didn't make me sick.  In fact, I liked it a lot.

Yeah I have that one. It was weird because when I first played Eve it was on the demo disc that came with the VR and when I started it up I looked down and I had boobs. It was a little odd to say the least. What I find amusing though is when I play it online I see mostly female characters in the lobby. You know most of them are guys when their heads are locked down looking at their chest.

OMG! That's great. I want boobs too. Oh, wait. Maybe not that way.

I really want to try VR, but the price barrier is such that I won't unless it's via kiosk. And there are no VR kiosks near me ... poop.

Its well worth it if you manage to get one. Cheaper then the VR sets on PC anyway.

SKYLANDERS! Yes, I want to hear more about your crazy obsession, because it's mine too! I'm looking forward to the Blaster-Tron figure for Imaginators but it's not coming until May.

Mark and I joke about Jet-Vac in the TV show so much now, that now every time an achievement sound pops up, we say it's Jet-Vac dropping another egg. It's getting kind of out of hand.

Im still missing a lot of figures, but there's so many it seems that no matter how many I get there's always a lot more including varients. I definitely have to take some shots though. Anyway do you have any pics? Which platform do you play on? I primarily play on XBox One, but have all versions of the game on 360 (except Imaginators), Wii U, and PS4. I've also got the first 3 on 3DS, the first 2 on PS3, and Superchargers for Wii.

Wow. You've got a lot of versions of the game. I have the first four games for Xbox 360, the last four games for Xbox One and SuperChargers for Wii-U (even though I don't have a Wii-U yet). I'd like to have Spyro's Adventure for 3DS.

I have a lot of figures for all the games except for Imaginators. I've been more choosy with that one. I just have the starter pack figures and Chopscotch. I have the three adventure packs for it though and I'm going to get Blaster Tron when it comes out in May. I'll probably pick up more when a sale comes around.

I've been thinking of doing some photos of all the figures I have. Maybe I'll do that as a blog series right after I finish this autobiographical one I'm doing now. I want to think of an interesting way to photograph them.

Yeah, usually I favor buying the XBox versions over others. However I usually get versions on other platforms dirt cheap so it isn't much of an issue. For example, when I got Imaginators last month I wanted the XBox One Dark version. The only place that has the Dark version is Gamestop (I hate shopping there), but they only had the Wii U version. It was $100, but I had the cash so I got it knowing my primary version was still gonna be XBox One. I ended up ordering that version off Amazon and I think it was around $50.  I was pretty happy since it was completing my base game set on both consoles. Then I spotted a portal owners pack for PS4 on Amazon for something like $16 brand new so i grabbed that without question. But yea typically the starter packs can be bought dirt cheap just months after release. Add in the fact that I have Gamers Club Unlocked from Best Buy so it gets cheaper.A few months back i got the Wii U version of Superchargers brand new for like $8-9 from there after using only $5 in reward zone.

Definitely take some pics  of your stuff though. Mine are a bit unorganized at the moment, but I may try some sometime soon. Also if you want to add me on XBox Live I believe we can compare collections in game as well. Im not sure if Imaginators has it, but I know Superchargers, and I think Trap Team has the options. My gamertag (PSN ID, Steam ID etc...) is the same as it is here Phantasystar77

Finally as for the Wii U I would highly recommend grabbing a console asap. The system is already getting slightly pricey and near impossible to find. Last Jan I was fortunate enough to find a brand new one at the store I work at sitting in the case for months. After my discount I think I paid around $280 for the Mario Kart 8 bundle. It also gave me $50 in Kohls cash which I redeemed the following week and got Pokemon Moon on 3DS for free.

I saw the Dark Version at Toys R Us for really cheap but they only had the PS4 version. I play everything on Xbox unless there's something exclusive to the other systems like the Nintendo figures for the Wii-U version of Superchargers.

I believe I have you on my XBO/PS4 but I'll check. I'm aiwithwarpdrive on both.

Yea, new Wii-Us are really scarce. There's plenty used at Gamestop though. I'm a little scared to spend right now since I'm in between jobs.

That name doesn't sound familiar. I lose track of who I do and don't have on my friends list is I don't play with them that often, or know them personally. Then I have people who change their gamertags all the time so yeah.

I saw your friend acceptance today. I've had you on my list for a while now. It's a little weird. Mostly I just play with my friend Mark, who's in the same room with me. I have a few people I used to work with and then Pixlbit friends. I don't play online with people that often except with Mark., but I do go through the community posts every so often and see if anyone's posted a save video or screenshot. It's all kind of similar to my Facebook experience actually. Sometimes, if a game supports it, I play where anyone can jump in if they want. I did that with EDF Insect Armageddon a while back and it was really fun.

Its funny because I don't remember ever seeing your gamertag there. The friend adding is odd on the XBox One. You wouldn't happen to play Smite would you? Im on that all the time.

I saw that you played Smite. I used Minecraft as my after gaming with Mark thing the last two days. Maybe I'll try Smite instead.

That is a shame about the Retro Bit Generations. I bought something similar on Black Friday but it is a Sega Handheld that came with 40 games but had a SD Card slot so you could add the rest of the Genesis Library on a card under 4GB (it wouldn't read a 16 GB card I bought)

Sony needs to realize folks own a lot of their products and to throw Too Many Active Devices at you is nuts.

At least you are enjoying the VR, which is good and hopefully you have better luck playing through all those new games.

Yup I have the same Genesis hand held. It (along with their Genesis plug and play) get a bad rap due to the poor sound, but its undeserved. Yeah the sound does suck on them, but other then that the games run really good.
