All abourd the hype train!

 

So Nintendo announced that there will be a new Nintendo Direct on the 12th, or later today depending when you read this. It'll start on 3 PM PT. It will mainly focus on ARMS, their new IP, and Splatoon 2, but will also focus on Switch and 3DS games. I think Pikmin 3DS, Ever Oasis, and FE Echoes: Shadows of Valentia will be there. I think we'll see release dates for those games, minus FE since that one has a release date, or some estimate at least with Splatoon 2. Expect Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in there as well since that one launches towards the end of this month.

Kirby's 25th anniversary is this month so we might see some announcements for that. Maybe the last remaining Smash Bros. amiibo might make an appearance too. I think we might see some news on the Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass content. Probably news on Virtual Console for the Switch eShop. I expect at least one surprise announcement in the Direct, but they might be saving the good stuff for E3. Plus this is the first Direct we've had now that the Switch is out. So roughly over a month, so I can see why.
