Which is why I'm starting this series in order to share my favorite VG music themes! I have tons of VG soundtracks on my itunes (that's almost all I listen to). From NES music all the way up to modern day fully orchestrated soundtracks, it's all good stuff! In this first part, we're going to listen to a few title screen themes that perhaps you've never heard. Let me know what you think, and look forward to more Amazing VG Themes in the future!
Title Theme from Metroid: Zero Mission (GBA)/Composed by Kenji Yamamoto and Minako Hamano
This is the title theme for the original Metroid redone with better sounds, making it even more beautiful. It comes in peacefully, then transitions to a more mysterious tone. It is a work of genius, giving off that feel of the unknown. It was originally composed by "Hip" Tanaka.
Title Theme from Mario vs. Donkey Kong (GBA)/Composed by Lawrence Schwedler
This song is neat because it blends the Donkey Kong theme with the Mario theme, and it does it so well. DK's theme is played with some kind of electric guitar while Mario's theme is played with a tropical vibe. The themes are almost competing, but really they mesh together well. When you first hear this, you know you're going to be in for a treat as Mario and DK face-off.
Title Theme from Legend of the Mystical Ninja (SNES)/Composed by Kazuhiko Uehara and Harumi Ueko
This game has a great soundtrack, the title song starting the game with a catchy and enjoyable theme. It sounds Japanese and kind of zany, which fits the game so well. If you've never played this game, you have to try it (it's on Wii's Virtual Console). It's a lot of fun, the characters are humorous, and the music is outstanding (I love catchy music!).
Title Theme from Mario Kart Wii (Wii)/Composed by Asuka Ohta and Ryo Nagamatsu
This may not be everyone's favorite Mario Kart game, but there's no denying that it has a great soundtrack. The title theme takes off with a pumping melody that is energetic and fun. It's perfect! After all, the Mario Kart series is known for being energetic and fun, so this song fits in with that Mario Kart charm. The rest of the soundtrack is pretty awesome too.

That Metroid theme really is great. Does a good job portraying the lonely hostility as well as the grandeur of space. A classic
I'm very fond of that Mario VS Donkey Kong theme. I was so amazed when I played that game how well the two themes went together. On a side note, I wish they'd make another game like that first one. All the ones since then have focused on the minis, which is fine, but I want another puzzle platformer where I control Mario again! Better yet, they should make another like Donkey Kong '94 on the original Game Boy. Man, that game was good.

I love that console too (it's definitely my favorite). There's lots of great themes to be sure. I wish I could put them ALL in here!
