I'm getting off to a slow start this morning. I'd like to blame watching the late airing of the new Twin Peaks on Showtime, and I didn't even finish the big two part season debut. That is one odd show. So I'm a bit sluggish, but I am excited that the warm weather is here! See for the first week or so I am excited that it is warm outside (100 degrees), I don't have to worry about bringing a hoodie or jacket with me, I can wear my summer sneakers with the flowers
And I do the switch over from football/basketball/hockey caps to baseball caps. After a couple of weeks of excitement I no longer like the heat because it gets too hot, sitting inside a car feels like I'm walking on the sun, and then I can't wait for winter.
So last week I managed to earn whatever Steam calls 100% their achievements (I call it Platinum like Sony does) and I knocked one game off Mount Backlog that's been sitting since January. Let's get started with the 100%
Lego City Undercover – Steam
So last week I was debating if it was even worth looking for the remaining items (four characters, and a bunch of gold bricks). I decided what the hell and I went for it. The good part was that the four minifigures were all located closed to each other so I didn't have to travel around the map. I found the first three within 15 minutes and I was feeling good. The last one was bit of a trek to find, because it was one of those random ones that was hidden on top of a building but the only way to get it was to start from two or three buildings away from it, and make my way across. The funny thing was that during game play I would always roam through here and I never stopped to get it.
Finally I got that last remaining figure and now I was trying to figure out why I needed 16 gold bricks. After a quick check on Google, the answer was simple: I needed to buy them at the Police Station. This was the easiest ending for 100% I've had. The last remaining achievement was to have a full wheel of custom characters. While in the Police Station I went and customized the 8 characters in my wheel, went outside and hit the nearest Police Disguise Station, swapped out my default characters for my customs and stepped outside and earned that last achievement.
You would think that I would be sick of Lego games after this but after a couple of days I wanted to finish another Lego game so...
The Lego Movie: Videogame – Steam
Back around January I left this game at 8%, playing only a Level at a time. On Saturday I said why not, knocked out maybe 70% of the game, and then on Sunday while watching WWE Backlash (spoiler Backlash was not good) I finished the rest of the game, collected all the red bricks, and collected half the pants. I don't know if I will hit the 100% for achievements because three of them are to hit perfect scores in the dancing minigames. I need to look up some tricks because I usually average half that in the Awesome score. I'll give it a try throughout the week.
Injustice 2 Mobile – iOS
While playing through Lego Movie, I kept sending my top three fighters on missions so they can level up. I'd like a fighting chance in the later levels so this is my way of getting it while playing other games.
Disney Emoji Blitz – iOS
The Ursula event ended and I now have a Level 3 Ursula with a score of 1075. During Top Score battles I can hit 1-2 million with ease, and into the mid 4's when everything is going my way. I'm impressed by some people on Reddit who hit 11+ million.
Random Fidget Spinner Game – iOS
Apparently these things are a big deal. Friends on Facebook are posting notices from their kids' schools about not bringing them to school, and a guy I went to high school with posted a video that he is selling these things because they're “hard to find” (I've seen them at the Hallmark store in the mall, along with a kiosk selling these things. Anyways I decided to play with this app for about 15 minutes. During that time I realized that I have no idea why kids find these things interesting. At some point I'll remove the app from my phone.
Alright Pixpeeps, I think it is a morning where I eat cereal, so have a good week!
That's all for now, more later!
