Dad's van is good now, meaning I get my car back, and after a two hour Orientation call to my new freelance job today, I get to go on a mini-vacation to my alma mater, starting tomorrow.

Might also see Place Beyond the Pines tonight. Considering my alma mater is in the "Piney Woods" of East Texas, you'd think it would be playing there, but it still seems to be in relatively limited release, even here in Dallas.

Now, I'm going to play some Star Fox Assaut, which controls a bit awkwardly. I really like the controls for the N64 when it comes to Star Fox, but the Gamecube contrller? Eh...

Maybe Slippy, being the mechanic, was playing a trick on his detractors and made the control scheme for the new ... honestly not as cool-looking Arwings worse.

Other than that, I am glad they gave us a game in that run of consoles that was a Star Foxy Star Fox, but still could be better, and could have made it without ground sections. Wait, why am I saying all this? My used Gamestop copy wouldn't work last time. Oh well, try again.
