Too much free shit

Free shit I've been playing

Paladins

It's like Overwatch I guess, but it's free. I played it on Steam for a while and now its on PS4. Just jump in here and there for casual mode and I've had fun most of the time. I don't really play team shooters, but this has compact maps and respawning doesn't take THAT long. It's very cartoony and there is enough variety in free characters to keep things interesting.

Marvel Heroes Omega

This has been F2P on PC for a while, not sure if it started that way, but it's free now and on PS4. If you're not familiar with this, it's basically diablo 3 but with marvel character skins and backgrounds. It's grindy as hell, but I love playing as X-Men and hack-n-slashing through waves of bad guys. I'm a bit disappointed with the visuals though. Obviously looks better on PC, not sure what PS4Pro looks like, but still playable.

Gwent

Not sure how this game is supposed to be played. The tutorial showed the basics, but don't really understand the Meta yet. So far I just try to win the 1st round and I've been succussful winning this way. I love all the cool cards featuring art and characters from the Witcher games. I gotta watch strategy videos to figure things out I guess?

Stuff I watched

Season 2 of Supernatural is still as good as the 1st, although looking back, Season 1 felt more like a long movie with a couple of side stories/adventures squeezed in. (S1) Having the focus being on the search for Sam and Deans father and then him showing up at the end was a nice close to season one, whereas in Season 2 is more about Sam realizing he has some dark power within and having to rely on Dean to maintain his humanity. In season 1, Sam was set up as the morally good guy and Dean a more grey/dark character, but as Sam starts turning to darkness, Dean has to pull him to the light side becoming more of a hero himself. Season 2 has more of a episodic adventure feel than Season 1, but overall I like the characters and mythology enough to anticipate and enjoy even the quirkiest of episodes. Also, this show has really nice atmosphere and mood. The quality of cinematography is still consistent with Season 1. It's a mix of horror and humor. Just 11 more season more to go.

There is too much free shit out there. I'm piling up games like crazy. . . and then just playing Minecraft.

Yup. And FF14 MMO is free up to lvl 30 which is a lot of game honestly. There is also Skyforge, Warframe, D&D MMO, Star Trek, etc.

Lately I've been saying I'm glad I never got into a MMO because my Minecraft addiction feels a little like what I'd be in for in a MMO. I'd forget which life was real.

Your description of Paladins sounds like what mine would be of Drawn Together, if I played it more often.

I haven't played much of the Gwent online, only the tutorial. They've changed a lot from The Witcher 3's version of the game, which is good. I have physical cards and there was only really 1 strategy that would win every time, and that was using spy cards and dummies to get your entire deck in your hand.

Supernatural really starts to get good in season 3 imo. Season 3 to 5 are the shows high points.

With Gwent, I tend to use my highest cards in 1st round and try to win since losing 1st Rd and then 2nd is game over, but I've had more luck trying to win Round 1. At least in the Challenges area. Also, it doesnt really seem to explain the different decks plus or minuses vs certain other decks? I enjoy the Witcher enough to play Gwent more, but I have to learn more about it outside the game.

Supernatural is a slow burn for me. Not in a bad way, but I'm not rushing through it, just enjoying it slowly. Theres supposed to be a crossover with Scooby Doo next season which I think will be animated, but I doubt I'd catch up that fast.  One interesting thing about the show is its fans and website which explores a lot of the episodes, monsters and lore. It's really fun to deep dive into these things like Sam does on the show. Have you watched the anime or read the books? Are they the same quality at all?

I liked Marvel Heroes but I hit the pay wall and stopped playing it.
