Did You Know Gaming?: Smash Bros.

Probably a few of you are aware of this series, but I like "behind the scenes" stuff like this. One of my favorites was when they explained that the motions of the Fire Temple boss, Volvagia, from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, had its movements based on coding for the movements of an Arwing in Star Fox 64. I thought that was cool, and this guy's got a good voice, plus I love the first two Smash Bros. games (never owned a Wii, so never played Brawl), so figured I'd share.

Woooh this is cool. Gonna watch some of the other videos they have.

There's even an April Fools spoof of it with Andrew WK narrating that is about Taco Bell. Not game related, but amusing.

I think it's neat how Namco is making the next one.

Yeah, they did a decent job with Star Fox Assault minus every part of that which wasn't a Star Fox game. But I think they will do a good job with Smash Bros. as well.

Yeah Star Fox Assault really wasn't that good.  Which is surprising because it was made by the Ace Combat team.  But in their defense, there hasn't been a good Star Fox game since the N64 one (although I didn't think Adventures was THAT bad).

However, the next Smash Bros. is being headed by members of the Soul Calibur and Tales teams, so I'm remaining confident they'll do a good job.

I actually really liked Adventures. It wasn't really a Star Fox game, but outside of that, I found it enjoyable.

Thanks for sharing this. I just watched like 15 of their videos (may be a slight exaggeration there). I'd never heard of this before. Cool stuff

I check their site everyday and alot of the stuff they have there is amazing finds. I know alot of them but there are quite a few susrprises, and the pokemon ones are the best ones imo. And if you ever get a Wii they are pretty cheap, get Brawl, the Super Mario Galaxy games, the Kirby ones, and the Op Rainfall rpgs, and Tatsunoko vs Capcom if you can find it.

I know they're fairly cheap, but I don't know if I want one or not. I'm more likely to adopt a PS4 after a price drop than anything else at this point. But never say never, the Wii does look like a fun system.

I love these guys, I've been subbed to them for quite a while!

I really do enjoy the history and easter eggs of gaming. I wonder if I can become a Gaming Historian? Or perhaps I'll just fight Chris Hardwick for the title of Nerdist?

What's a Chris Hardwick? I've heard his name and Nerdist before, but I'm not sure whether I've actually checked that out. Might have to look that up.

Not sure if this will help or not, but he's the host of Talking Dead

Wow, that was a load of interesting stuff! Cool video, thanks for posting. It's been a long time since I played any Smash Bros. I ought to rectify that...

Same here. Need to break out some Melee.

Melee is my favorite in the series, though my wife and I have a used copy of Brawl we picked up a while ago that has hardly been played Undecided

Now that I own a Wii I may have to get some Smash Bros. games. Never owned one and only played it once. I have truly missed out I think.

I've never played Brawl, but the first one was a good execution of a good concept, and Melee is just jam-packed with content.
