My hype for E3 is OVER 9000!!!

Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you're all enjoying E3!

Well it's E3 again which I like calling a gamers xmas because of all the new announcements and whatnot. To me, E3 doesn't start till Nintendo shows their stuff. Unlike previous E3's, this year will definitely be different in terms for Nintendo. Why? Well Nintendo's new console, the Nintendo Switch is out and Nintendo will be focusing on it's future with game announcements. Which means they wont need to focus on hardware reveals. It will be all about the games now. Oh and there will be 3DS stuff too because they are still supporting it. I see nothing wrong with that. The Nintendo Direct presentation will be 25 minutes long. They will also have Treehouse stuff which will most likely have more games announced there too. You can catch it right here.

Nintendo Switch

Well before we get started, here are links to my previous E3 prediction posts in case you want to give them a read: 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013

Predictions:

Shulk

Breath of the Wild DLC:

Breath of the Wild dlc

Nintendo had announced not too long ago what the first big dlc pack for the game will contain which are a few new costumes and a new mode as well as a new area. We've only gotten a taste of what it will be about. But what people want to know is the second dlc pack slated for the winter which includes a new dungeon and a new story. No doubt they will give us a taste of the second dlc pack.

More info on Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon:

Pokemon USUM

A while back there was a Pokemon Direct and new Pokemon games were shown. Among them was Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon for the 3DS. People were so angry at that because rumors pointed that it would be for the Switch, but were proven false. I know people want to move on from the 3DS but Nintendo still makes money off of the 3DS and since there are more 3DS units out there than Switches, it makes sense. Plus, Game Freak takes a while to move on to new hardware. Not sure if we'll get more info but there's a good chance we might. Last year we got more info on Sun and Moon despite being focused on Breath of the Wild.

Info on more 3DS Games:

SMT: Strange Journey Redux

Atlus showed 3 new games coming to the 3DS the same day the Pokemon Direct aired. And yes people were furious cause they weren't Switch games. Those games have been long in development on the 3DS. Anyway 2 are confirmed for next year and one for later this year. Not sure if they'll show up in the Direct itself or at the Treehouse event but there's a chance they'll show more.

Switch VC and more:

Switch VC

Nintendo hasn't said a word on Virtual Console. They did say it would be seperate from their paid online service. I'd love to see Gamecube games on there, they can even add Wii games too. I'd love to see an update to send messages to friends. That would be neat. Maybe some stuff for the interface? I don't know.

More Wii U ports on the Switch:

Pokken Tournament

You know this is gonna happen. There's a rumor that Tokyo Mirage Sessions might get ported to the Switch so who knows? I can see more ports in the future. Smash 4 port on the Switch could happen too. I wouldn't mind a port of Star Fox Zero if they can fix everything wrong with it.

More amiibo:

amiibo

These things make Nintendo a bunch of money, and scaplers as well. So you can bet Nintendo will make about 5 of each and scalpers will get them. So yeah expect new figures.

More stuff on Fire Emblem Switch/3DS Games:

Fire Emblem Warriors

Fire Emblem Warriors is coming to both the Switch and the 3DS, or New 3DS, I don't remember on the latter. They have shown some new info on it but we still haven't seen much on it to be honest. There's also a mainline FE game coming to the Switch in the future so we might see something on it.

More on Ever Oasis:

Ever Oasis

I'm not sure what much more they can show since I think it releases soon,  but there's a chance they might show more stuff on it. Most ikely at the Treehouse event rather than the actual Nintendo Direct.

More on Hey! Pikmin:

Hey! Pikmin

I don't remember when this is coming out but not sure if they have said enough on it. There could be a chance they could talk about it. I'm still not convinced this is Pikmin 4 but still looks like a fun game.

Third-Party Games:

Third Party Games

We've seen some third-party developers supporting the Switch and more are on the way. Maybe we'll see a surprise in there. This can be a perfect time to announce something.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 release date:

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

This one was announced during the Nintendo Switch press event back in January, and boy was it such a huge surprise announcement. I never expected it to be a sequel to the original Xenoblade. Rumor has it that it has been delayed till February 2018, but other sources says it's still coming this year. Whatever it is, I'm excited to find out more on it and when I'll be able to play it. I can feel it.

Kirby 25th Anniversary Title

Kirby 25th Anniversary

This year is Kirby's 25th anniversary! Nintendo kicked off his anniversary with the free to play Team Kirby Clash Deluxe on the 3DS which was a sub game from Planet Robobot. Coming soon is also Kirby's Blowout Blast, which was also a subgame from Planet Robobot and gave us a taste what a 3D Kirby platformer might be like. If you haven't, get Robobot, it's amazing. But that just leaves us with the 3rd mystery Kirby game which is going to be his anniversary title. Rumor has it it will be a multiplayer action game of some sort. I think we'll see what it is. And maybe more plans on Kirby's Anniversary.

More Splatoon 2 info:

Splatoon 2

Splatoon 2 relases next month so they can use this moment to squeeze out more info for it. Not sure what more they could announce for it since they showed alot on it not too long ago. It already looks better than the first Splatoon but would welcome more info on it. Especially since Splatoon 2 will include free updates like the first one.

Plans for ARMS free dlc updates:

ARMS

Well not really dlc but Nintendo said they would be supporting the game with free content such as new characters. Also this game comes out this week! Neat to have Nintendo release a new game during E3 week.

More info on Super Mario Odyssey:

Super Mario Odyssey

I needed to use a gif for this. That is how excited I am for it. It's coming in November but I would appreciate more since Nintendo said that SMO would be their big main focus. I want to see more worlds we're going to be exploring. Plus, I want to know if Luigi is playable. He has been playable in Main 3D Platformers since Galaxy, or Super Mario 64 DS. Would be neat to have him in there too. All in all I'm so hyped for this game.

Wishlist:

Wishlist

Kirby in MK8 Deluxe and dlc:

Mario Kart 8

A mod recently modded Kirby into Mario Kart 8 and he looks really cool. I really want more dlc for Deluxe. I want more courses to race on. The Battle Mode is fine but I want more tracks to race on and some new characters. Maybe a Splatoon track and some Kirby tracks and Kirby himself. It is his anniversary afterall.

More on Dragon Quest Xl:

DQ11

I love the Dragon Quest games and I really want to know more on the Switch version. Not sure if it'll be on the Direct so I'll add it to the wishlist.

More surprise third-party announcements and collabs:

Third Party Games

I would love more third-party games on the Switch. I would buy NFS Payback on it if it comes to it. I know people would love Bayonetta 3. Me too. Also more collaborations would be nice. Like having more developers take a crack at some of Nintendo's games or have them work with them.

Animal Crossing:

Animal Crossing

I know I'll be crucified if I don't add this. Yes I would love to see Animal Crossing on the Switch. Would be neat to have it on there.

Pokemon:

Pokemon

Game Freak love making Pokemon games for current hardware when a new system is out. When the DS was out, Pokemon Emerald released on the GBA. When the 3DS was out we got Black 2/ White 2 on the DS. We have the same situation with Ultra Sun/ Ultra Moon on 3DS when the Switch is out. They have been hiring for a Switch game so no doubt we'll see it eventually. But just throwing this in for a wishlist thing.

New IP:

Nintendo IP

We've been getting some new IP's in the form of Splatoon and ARMS. Maybe we'll see a surprise in there.

Pikmin 4:

Pikmin 4

A while back Miyamoto said that the next Pikmin game was nearly done. Not sure if he meant the 3DS one or a console game. I think it's a console game. I'd love to see it.

A New F-Zero Game:

F-Zero

It's been far too lonf since there's been an F-Zero game. Last F-Zero game we got was GP Legend on the GBA and that was a long time ago. Miyamoto once said this regarding F-Zero: "If we create a new type of controller interface, and we find a controller interface that's particularly suited for F-Zero, then maybe we'll do something with it in the future" "I certainly understand that people want a new F-Zero game," "I think where I struggle is that I don't really have a good idea for what's new that we could bring to F-Zero that would really turn it into a great game again." I think the Joy-Cons are the perfect controller for F-Zero. Imagine HD Rumble on it? And there's plenty you can do with F-Zero. How about bringing online to the franchise? That hasn't been done before to it.

Retro Studios new game:

Retro Studios

This one is always a no show. What have they been working on since Tropical Freeze? Is it a new game from an already established Nintendo IP? Or is it a new game? I just want to know what it is!

A New Metroid Game:

Metroid

Metroid Prime: Federation Force met with a ton of backlash from fans. Actually it sounds like the whole game was an idea I had for a multiplayer mode for a main Metroid game. It's on one of my E3 posts. I suppose Nintendo saw it and thought, let's ignore the proper Metroid thing and make this instead. Can't really say anything on FF since I haven't tried it. But yeah I want a new Metroid game. 2D, 3D, First Person Metroid, whatever as long as it's a proper one. Heck I'd take a remastered port of all the 3 Prime games.

SNES Mini:

SNES Mini

Rumor has it that Nintendo plans to make an SNES Mini and sell it over the holidays. That's well and good but I hope they stock enough of the things. The NES Mini was such a great selling thing that Nintendo somehow stopped making them. I hope I can get one.

Better Switch stock:

Nintendo Switch

There's a rumor going around that Nintendo understocks their stuff to drive up hype and demand. Not sure if that's true or not but Nintendo stuff is really hard to come by. A good example is the Nintendo Switch. It sells out as soon as stores have em. Not sure if Nintendo can't keep up with demand or not. Who knows, but if they wanna sell more, they have to make more.

Super Mario Galaxy 3:

Super Mario Galaxy 3

Yes I know we are getting Odyssey and I'm so hyped for it, but would love to see Super Mario Galaxy 3 as well. I need it in my life.

Well that's it for this post. Some of this stuff could be in a future Direct, so just because it wasn't at E3 doesn't mean we wont see it in the future. Sorry it took a while to post it, was kinda late on doing so. And as usual, I'll do a recap of the announcements. Well thanks for reading and later.

Those are some pretty lofty (yet enticing) predictions.  We'll have to see which ones come true in a minute. :)

Only things I saw were metroid 3ds and metroid prime 4 announcements.

I'll watch the whole thing later.

Dragon Quest XI has me thinking I should own a Switch, and I would, but I have no expendable cash at the moment. That game is a system seller for me though. One day.
