I didn't get to play much at E3, but what I played of Super Lucky's Tale made it my favorite game of the show, think it will be something really special. Also loved Mario Odyssey, Metroid, Dragonball Fighter Z, and am cautiously optimistic on Anthem.
TOP 5 Picks of E3 2017

In no particular order of preference...
1) Monster Hunter World
I've played this series from the beginning and have no issues with controls or complaints of difficulty for beginners, but I'm glad to see a fresh update of the game, complete with more open environments and more accessible controls it seems. Can't tell too much from the trailer. Could have just been a concept trailer and it will all stay the same, but an engine revamp is welcoming. It's still a very niche title and I'm not sure how it will be received, but I was SHOCKED when I saw the announcement and surprised it exists at all. I was and am still looking forward to the Switch release hopefully, as I've been playing the WiiU one forever and it's great playing on portable and small screen.
2) Samus Returns
We've had 3 awesome 3D Prime games and a 4th next year, but glad to see some love for the 2D versions as well. Hopefully, if Nintendo sells enough copies, they'll make more 2D metroids for us to enjoy in the future. I've seen people complaining about the 2.5D perspective in the game, which brought back memories of Other M, but I'm glad to see this gameboy sequel finally getting updated at least.
3) Evil Within 2
I remember people mostly complaining about the "black bars" on the screen and too close over the shoulder camera, and frame rate issues when the game released. I played the game well after it released with camera altered to fill the screen and not much frame rate issues, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and mood of this game. It seemed more like a greatest hits of 90s survival horror stitched together with a strange mix of psychological and supernatural elements added in. Very interesting to see where else they take the sequel or if it becomes a legit series on it's own. I loved it enough to want more after playing. Also, I love this genre!
4) Shadow of the Colossus
This is one of my favorite games of all time, next to Souls games, and I'm glad too see it being remade again for more people to enjoy. I own the original and HD remake on PS3, but it is a very moody and atmospheric game so I think presenting it with better textures will make this game feel more immersive.
5) Xenoblade 2
I'm still a fan of the original on Wii, and I still play through the wonderful open world thats in X on WiiU. Monolith also helped develop ZELDA: Breath of the Wild, so I'm excited to see what comes next after X. Although X was more of an MMO than the original, with silent protagonist and story content that you could progress at your own pace, I'm interested to see if the seemingly more RPGish story driven game 2 is appearing to be.
Of course, I loved a lot more games from E3, but I just picked 5 to save from typing all night.
I'm genuinly interested in:
Metro
Wolfenstein
Farcry
Assasins Creed
and of course Mario.
What were your favorite picks from E3?
