Well, been an exciting few days. First of all, I've been playing Mass Effect and Crash Bandicoot. Crash Bandicoot is a lot of fun, and looks GREAT, but like Night Driver says, it involves doing the same thing over and over and trying to do it right, which can be annoying. However, it is also a lot of fun. In Mass Effect, I'm still exploring and colonizing - this game is endless.

Had a bit of a disaster on July 4th. My brother came over and we were having a nice holiday but after supper my German SHepherd attacked my poodle mix and hurt him - he was bleeding out of his eye, and had blood all over his face. A millimeter closer and he probably would have lost it. My shepherd has attacked both our dogs now in the last month, after not doing so for her three years of life.

But my mom did an internet search and found the allergy pill we are giving her increases aggression. On a german shepherd web site a lot of people were complaining about it, and their dogs attacking other dogs and even people while they're on it. So....

Anyway, mostly I've been writing. I'm at about 300+ pages now with the novel and have about 100 left or so, and I'm planning on finishing it by the middle of the month, and then spending the next two months rewriting. There's a contest on September 15 I want to submit it to.

I hope all of you guys and girls are well.

Damn, that's harrowing.

it was pretty scary man. I'm still a little stressed about it.

What is the contest?

That stinks about the dog. Catara pooped on the carpet a couple weeks back, but I'm dead certain it's cause I have her some treats she's not used to and the vet seemed to agree. That's one thing humans and animals share: mess with our diets and we'll get testy.

I played a couple hours of Andromeda so far. I don't get why people hated on it so much, but it might not be something I continue with, either. Haven't really scratched the surface though, so we shall see.

the contest is for publishing by a well known small press with a $10K advance. Not bad.

yeah as I get older i realize you really are what you eat.

Yeah ANdromeda's not for everyone, but it certainly scratches an itch I've got.

It's possible I'm still a bit stressed out right now and didn't have the patience for Crash. I really want to try it again, but alas, it was a rental.

This St. John's Wort I am on right now has been making me a bit hyper as of late, but it's a good hyper, I think. I haven't bit anyone anyway. Ha ha.

I've never tried that. I'm on a pile of pharmaceuticals myself, but I'm also technically crazy. ha ha.

I had to wait a month to see a psychiatrist, so in desperation, I tried St. John's Wort and it seemed to work. My psychiatrist told me to just stick with it and see how it goes. So I'm doing that. Although, today I forgot to take it and I'm a little strange right now. These things really change brain chemestry and you never know what you're going to be like on or off these things.

I got "technically crazy" too. Brains are complex. They don't always work quite right. How many years has it been with big brains? 5 millions years? You can't even get to Barnard's Star in that amount of time. Lol.

I'm more of a cat person. If we can figure out where to put the litter box so that our little kids won't get in it, we're hoping to get one sometime soon. But that's scary stuff though.

That's horrible, why didn't the vet tell you guys that increased aggression is a side effect of your dogs medication. I would complain.
