Culcept is the prequel to the 360s Culdcept Saga a half monopoly half magic the gathering, now yes I did a blog on Culdcept Saga but this blog is about the ps2 just called Culdcept. This is a unique game and nothing you have pkayed will compare, and this is a very addicting game.

You take turns rolling the dice and moving your character around the board like you would in monopoly, and when you land on a land which is green for forest red for fire blue for water and yellow for air well you get the idea, then you use mana that you aqquire buy completing trips around the board, kind of like passing go in monopoly, and then you buy land which you will want to buy in sync with the color deck you have, for instance if you have forest kinds of creatures then you would want to buy forest lands since it gives your forest creature a bonus, and when you buy a land if you land on your own land then you can upgrade your land up to four levels and if an opponent lands on a level four land and you fight the creature defending it and loose it will be like landing on boardwalk with hotels not only do you loose your creature you have to pay the price in mana.

And the battles pkay out like magic the gathering you have attack value and defense value for each creature and you have magic cards and weapon cards so if you use a sword card with a creature then not only do you get the land bonus, but the weapon all play a roll in the out come of the battle and you roll the dice for att etc, this game is very unique, and you also unlock cards for games won and can later build your own decks and you can make themed decks brutal decks or magic decks etc. This is a very fun and different game and if you give it a try you will be addicted and will have a blast, so I highly recommnd trying it out and take it from me its very much worth getting.

I never heard of this game, but I love Magic. I still have my old cards and play with my brother sometimes. A combination of that and monopoly sounds interesting. Do you know how much this game usually goes for?

I have this one and it is a real gem. I have not beat it yet but have gotten a good ways into the story mode. My only issue with this game is that the multiplayer is a bit hard to set up if the second player does not have a memory card with their own deck. Other than that it is an awsome game. And you are so right, crazy ass addictive, especially when you start getting some good cards and can customize your deck.

I go for balence, plenty of monster cards for each element, both offensive and deffensive. And a handful of weapon and armor cards with just a couple of the best spell cards.

They could make a card battle system work in Metal Gear Ac!d I'm sure it could work in a board game! I always wanted to try Culdcept Saga, it's just a shame its not on a handheld as it seems like a perfect game for that.

I have the PS2 Culdcept, it's a great game. I play it with my wife and she always kicks my ass! :) I'd like to get Culdcept Saga, but I can't find it anywhere. Maybe Amazon has it.

I see the 360 game around, but I don't think I ever saw the PS2 game.  I'll keep an eye out on both games.

Apparently from what I just read on the Wiki page for Culcept the PS2 version is actually a port of Culdcept Second and the first Culdcept hasn't come to the U.S. yet (Culdcept Saga being the third game in the series). The first Culdcept was on Saturn/PSone and ported to DS in '08 in Japan. I thought there was an online PC version of Culdcept out there but I'm not seeing one now. On the Japanese site for Culdcept there seems to be a phone version too. I wish they'd put a new one out here in North America, but probably Culdcept Saga's sales weren't strong. I did buy it new though. Once I tried out the demo, I was hooked. Then I hunted down the PS2 version and got it for $20 at GameStop. It's $37 now on Culdcept Central's web site.

Yea culdcept central is a gret site for finding people who play, this is most definently a cult hitnwith anvery liminted cult following but players are very loyale to the game, and im sure at some point someone will put out a new one, when would be a good question lol.
