It's 12 minutes until college football is back on TV and I'm still in bed. Good morning Pixlpeeps it is another Quick Hits where I still haven't left the bedroom on a Saturday and today it is supposed to be 100000000 degrees. You know it is bad when you get an alert from your iPad about excessive heat. Yesterday I was going to write but I got caught up watching YouTube videos and getting ready to head out for the day. Yesterday was Move-In Day for SDSU and my friend and I were talking about it and I said it's easy to miss the excitement of move-in day until you remember a month or so down the road when you realize the folks you live with/around are dirty and you have to share a bathroom with them.

So after our conversation I searched for 2017 dorm move in videos and just watched how excited, and nervous the class of 2021 is and I wanted to see how folks decorated their rooms. It's a shame I didn't take pictures of my walls because all I had was some Christmas Lights taped to the walls and a couple of posters. That was it. Now people have crazy photo collages, items with positive sayings, book cases, and one video they had those lights that you control with you phone. Now that was crazy. Yeah it was fun to think back to the time when the only problems I had was figuring out where to buy groceries. Anyways to you folks here on Pixlbit who are heading back to school, or are already there, lots of luck to you this year, be clean and neat, and GO TO CLASS!

Ok so I am almost done with the first episode and I want to finish Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and start watching Luke Cage. When Danny Rand comes on the screen I zone out. Sorry Iron Fist fans, I just don't find that character interesting. He comes off more annoying than interesting.

 

Big Brother – CBS

Still haven't watched, I read a couple of things on Twitter and I really hate the hive mindset of this season's house. They are a freaking bunch of Zombie followers.

I haven't touched a comic in a couple of weeks now. I'll get around to it once I start migrating comics from the Android Tab to the iPad. I've been carrying around the iPad more than the Android Tablet so it only makes sense to have some books on the iPad as well.

 

Chris Listens To...

On Friday I was at 400 or so tracks left on my zero plays list. I am excited because I can realistically finish off this list Sunday or Monday. This was before I added some tracks from some pickups. Speaking of zero plays list, I've been using my re-purposed Android phone as a music player and I love the sound after a couple of tweaks with the equalizer but what isn't working right is the playcount sync. The star ratings are fine but it won't recognize the playcounts. It is a pain but not a huge issue especially once I am finished with the zero plays project the player will be home to all my favorite songs.

 

Random Rant

Ok so in my little shopping center Tesla installed a charging station a couple of years ago. It is across from a strip of stores that include a Starbucks. Yesterday as I was crossing a four way stop a guy (a little description: chubby middle aged balding hipster with MacBook Pro under his arm.) decides that instead of waiting for me to pass he crosses diagonally in front of me to go to this Starbucks. It's bad enough to do this but then he takes his time while I'm in the intersection blocking folks. Seriously stop being an inconsiderate jackhole of a human being, and wait your damn turn! I'm just going to assume he's also the same jackhole who doesn't use his turn signal when turning.

From BundleStars 24 hour sale. The game was $2.99 but they had a 10% off coupon

 

I haven't tried it but it should be fun, especially for $3.

From Humble Bundle they had a Playstation bundle and I didn't care for the rest of the games so I bought the $1 level

 

X-Com and Civ II are Vita games, The Bureau is a PS3 game (I might already own a physical copy) and Evolve is a PS4 game. For a quarter each it isn't bad.

 

Music

Yesterday's trip to the mom and pop. I filled in more holes in my 90s library

 

All this time and I didn't have Zhane's debut album. They sang the song Hey Mr. DJ. Naughty by Nature OPP is a single. I bought the tape way back when and now I have the CD Single version of the Cassette Single I used to have.

 

 

Yes that's Shaq. I figured why not.

 

 

 

 

 

These are the rest of my pickups. Whoever sold their collection had a ton of 90s stuff which is good for me. There are a couple of albums I wanted but I think I can wait on those. They're not big deals and if they're gone next week, I'll be ok.

Next stop was Barnes & Noble and this CD was an impulse buy

 

I enjoyed their last album and it was going to be interesting to listen to this group after one of their members left. They're good old fashion radio pop.

After the first couple of listens I didn't care for the song. A couple of listens later and I liked it. Angry Taylor Swift is interesting.

 

Hot Wheels

At Walmart while digging through the dump bin I found these cars

 

Apparently I already own the gray 89 Batmobile so I might open this one and place it with my other opened Batmobiles. The truck is cool because it is painted to look like it has rust. Only reason why I bought it.
