Yeah I heard about that new hurricane. Fucked up.
I haven't finished the first Life is Strange, but I'd really like to.
Stay safe dude.

As someone who teaches at a university with thousands of kids from Houston, I'd like to say I'll be downloading Life is Strange: Before the Storm today.
Also, they all seem to be handling it pretty well, given the circumstances. I guess one good thing is everyone has a place to go, since they'll have to be at the university anyway. I've donated to a couple different charities, but I'm glad I can also add normalcy to their day when their house is probably underwater.
Speaking of which, apparently Hurricane Irma is starting up off the Gulf and there's a law that goes into effect tomorrow in Texas that supposedly makes it more difficult to sue insurance companies, but that lawmakers argue is being blown out of proportion by opportunistic lawyers and won't effect claims? I don't know who to trust, because I only recently heard of any of this.
Ummm ... stay safe, y'all. I'll be either hanging out with my friend to celebrate or mourn his psychology license thingy test results, or indoors figuring out why Chloe Price became such a needy person.
I'll be fine. Nacogdoches was supposed to get some windy rain yesterday, but nothing happened and now it's sunny. I'm a good 200+ miles from harm's way. I'm worried about students' families and homes moreso. They're safe, but what's the aftermath?
It's not for everyone. I prefer it to Telltale games, because you actually get some time to figure out important responses (in the original; there's a new mechanic in the prequel I started yesterday I'm not so sure about), but a lot of the pick-one-of-two dialogue choices seem obvious.
Also, I'd like some trophies based on different choices as opposed to just photographs you take/objects you tag, but that's a nitpick irrelevant to the game itself.
You also have to be in the mood to revisit certain kinds of high school drama.
I pre-ordered it and was seriously waiting until the day it came out ... then my friend wanted to hang out after his test that day. lol
Like I told Snee, I'm well out of harm's way, but thank you. More worried about students from the Houston area. Plus, there's another damn hurricane coming somewhere. It's caused a lot of renewed bickering about aid packages Congress vote on and global warming. Joy.
Over the weekend, where I live near Dallas it was hard to get gas because of the hurricane. Luckily I was in Seattle for PAX for most of it. Also, at the hardware store where I work, I saw a lot of new faces last week. Turns out they were employees from Houston stores that came up here to work since all the stores down there were closed.
