I have been wanting to play all those 3DS Kirby games, I don't have any good excuses.
I remember playing Mad Max. That game was awesome.

So this is the situation: I'm currently ripping my CDs to the library for the travel laptop and while this event is going on I thought it would be time to let you good people in on what I am doing, playing, watching, etc. Think of this as a combo Quick Hits and What Chris is playing. I was going to write a normal QH on Friday but I went out and well I was busy for the rest of the holiday weekend. Now I'm here, I have some time so let's catch up!
Chris Plays
Kirby's Triple Deluxe – 3DS
After getting a recommendation from Cary to give it a try instead of my button mashing Kirby game, I gave it a spin and I really like it. It's a fun side scrolling platformer with the pink blob who's power is to eat things. I played through the first two missions and the game play is pickup and play with no problems figuring out the controls. There are little tutorials during the game but other than that you are on your own and you get to enjoy this colorful world on your own. This is a lot of fun and when I finish this game I will tackle the other Kirby game where he's in a mech suit. As for my button mashing Kirby game, I'm still playing it.
Injustice 2 Mobile – iOS
There was an update and the updates brought some improvements but its still a game where I check in, get my freebies, and then go about my day. I wish the game was more fun to play but it isn't and really the only reason why I am keeping up with this game is eventually I will buy the console version and sync the two games.
Disney Emoji Blitz – iOS
It is Jungle Book week and there are three new gold emojis. I unlocked them so I didn't bother playing the week long event. Instead I am still working on my quest to hit Level 100 and so far I am either Level 53 or 54. I heard Level 99 is a real doozy. I also saw this in my game
Go home DEB you're drunk.
Quick Hits Time!
Chris Watches...
The Tick – Amazon Prime Video
I checked out the first episode and it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Hell I think its more interesting than Iron Fist. The Tick is funny and there was a warm bread reference that got a laugh. I think the episodes are 30 minutes long it should be a fun and easy watch.
College Football! - Everywhere
Oh college football is back and I am happy. My Aztecs had their game streamed on Facebook of all places and I do like that it was accessible on social media but holy cow there were a ton of problems. The feed for the first half was like watching a pirated feed. There were no commercials so there was a lot of time filled in by a sideline reporter who was not good. Since it was a social media powered presentation he had his phone out reading tweets and whatever was posted on the feed. It was clunky and the presentation was horrible. At one point he threw out who are the top three SDSU athletes and forgot to mention one of the most famous ones, Marshall Faulk. At times the announcers kept saying “if you're insert famous person comment below.” I swear this feed was one step above community college television where its a guy on the mic and a shaky camera.
Chris Listens To...
So this happened last week
I listened to everything in my iTunes library! WOOOOOOOOOO! The beginning of the year I started at a little over ten thousand tracks with zero plays and now I am finished. Of course to celebrate this event I bought more CDs but I finished one of my goals for 2017.
Continuing with my music library while finishing my goal I was sorting through a ton of electronic DJ sets and I thought it would be more useful to archive these tracks AND get to enjoy them when I use my travel laptop. While doing this I figured why not rip my CDs to this archive idea in the same format. In my iTunes all my CDs are ripped in AAC but for this new project I wanted everything in MP3. I put the Project FLAC on the back burner and I am concentrating on finishing everything up for a trip I'm planning. Since my goals are to have every audio file I have in one place I needed a music player that lives on the same external hard drive that can be played on any computer. I went with the portable version of Musicbee because it works well, easy customization, and I can fix the info tags on the MP3s and place them in order. Once I am finished all the audio tracks will live in a Music folder that I can copy and keep safe in case I ever want to move it to a new computer. As for the travel laptop I will then sync my Music Player (the former pay as you go cell phone) to this external hard drive and I can have my music with me when I don't want to use my phone.
As for my iTunes library I'm still keeping it. Eventually when I upgrade to another laptop I can move everything to it without any problems.
Chris Reads
Ok so I kinda got back into my audiobook groove. Last week at a thrift store I found a 64 disc binder filled with CDs for $4. I decided to check it out and it was the audiobook version of the Bible. Now I'm not exactly the most religious person but many moons ago when I was in college I took a Bible as Lit class and it was interesting. Well I figured for $4 this might be a fun listen. The collection is made by this Christian group who charges $70 for this collection so for $4 for brand new discs it was worth a shot. It took forever to rip to iTunes because 64 discs but all 10 GB live on my Music Player. I found a hassle free no frills audiobook player (imagine an Android app with no ads, and makes you pay for a full version) So far I like the audiobook. The reader isn't annoying but since I'm early in the book it's still a bit slow.
Pickups
Games
From Bundle Stars
They are having a promotion where every day one game will be offered at a crazy price. Monday was Mad Max for $4. Since I already beat the game on PS4 and gave my copy to my cousin so he can enjoy it, having a digital copy to mess around in is a plus. This will probably be one of those games I will play through when I can't find something to play. I also bought a 33 game bundle for a buck that is full of games like 7th Wonder and Luxor. All casual games which is fine with me.
Music
I bought a ton of CDs but I didn't take pictures of them. Basically I picked up a bunch of 90s R&B to fill more holes in my library. I also picked up that 64 Disc Bible Audiobook for $4.
Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. There is a new Sonic and I'm thinking about heading over there for some microwaved tater tots and Cherry Limeade. Have a good week
That's all for now, more later!

I'd love to take a History of the Bible or Literary Bible class, and I haven't been to church in years.
I was so confused when I thought you meant the hedgehog Sonic. lol I had $1 hot dogs from there the other day. Regretful life decision, but easy on the wallet.
I took that class because it was part of an English minor requirement and damn it was interesting. Easily one of my favorite classes.
Hahaha its a shame the Sonic here isn't as fast as that Sonic. I'm not really a fan of their food but I do love the Cherry Limeade. Onion rings are fine, but the burgers need a lot of work.
