What Is My Destiny

The joys of feeling inspired to write. I feel bad that I took a fairly long hiatus from this place. I missed it more than I realized. What brings me back so many times in a week? Well, I am really in the mood to keep talking about games.

Eventhough the Switch has a TV mode, I don't really see myself using it outside of splitscreen multiplayer. The Switch is a perfect handheld. It has amazing games, and a decently sized screen. In the past, I have talked about how I normally consume games. I typically run two games at once, and no more. One game on a console and one on a handheld. Since I view the Switch as a handheld, and I am playing Mario Kart, and eventually Zelda there... what am I going to be playing on the TV?

I have spent way too much time with Prey in the past 2 months, so I am setting that down for a while. I have more than a few games on my PS4 that I want to play. Games such as RE VII, The Evil Within, Tomb Raider(2013), and Wolfenstein : The Old Blood... The only problem is that Destiny 2 just released, and I cannot help myself. I spent maybe half an hour this morning playing the first mission in Destiny 2. It brought back so many good memories and reminded me exactly why I spent 150 hours with the original in 3 months. I know that I won't be able to spend that much time with it over the next 3 months, but I may not burn out on it as quickly.

I just want to go home and play Destiny right now.

ah, so you did get Destiny 2! I knew you Destiny people couldn't resist. Enjoy the game man! Looks like a lot of fun, and more refined than the first one.

The Switch IS the perfect handheld. But playing Zelda on the big screen is pretty magnificent as well.

I'll be watching the reactions to Destiny 2. I want to play anything Bungie makes. I should go back to the first one and do some more in it. I can get it cheap right now.

I will get Destiny 2 but I might wait until one or two expansions are out. it's a better bargain that way and even though I could spend more than 100 hours with the base game, it will likely be easier to grind with later expansions.

I am ina very interesting situation that if I don't get started in Destiny now, I may never pick it up at all. At least that is my expectation when my kid comes sometime in the next 6 weeks.

We finished the main campaign in Destiny 2 the other night and now we're a high enough Power level to take on the Nightfall. Doing that tonight, I think. I really like Destiny 2 and see myself putting a lot of time into in the next couple of years.

I generally consume games in a similar manner to you. But multiplayer games are always in addition to a console and handheld game, so sometimes I have four or five at once

Same here. I expect to put plenty of time into it. I just wish that I had more time with it this past week because everybody else I know who is playing it has finished up the campaign and hit level 20. I just hit level 10 and Titan is now opened up to me to explore. I just hate feeling so far behind everybody else.

Hey Destiny 2! I'm late but I hope you're enjoying the hell out of the game. I wished I enjoyed the original as much as you. I played the demo, loved it, bought the game and I didn't like it. I don't know if I will give the 2nd a try.
