Since the NES Classic is so hard to get, I went ahead and found where I could import the Famicom Classic for nearly retail price. So I may have a blog about that in a few weeks, or whenever I get to it. I really hope to get the SNES Classic, but since both my Wal-Mart and Best Buy preorderes got cancelled, I can't get my hopes up too much.
So I modded my NES Classic

Well, it's been awhile since the NES classic came out and with the SNES classic coming around the corner I went ahead and decided to modify my NES Classic with pretty much every NES game. Now the process was one I was unsure of, but I managed to find a way to do the job. So after a couple of hours and plenty of research later I went about doing the task. When all was said and done I wound up with over 800 games.
I'm not really sure what got me so interested in doing it, maybe it was because I got bored and I was looking for something to hold me over until Super Mario Odyssey comes out. Now that I've done it though, I have to say that I might have gone overboard... I mean I have practically the entire NES library and that would hold anyone's interest for a lifetime. And just so you know that you are not seeing those files wrong... There are 29 files there. Each file has 30 games in each. I'm probably going to add another file and add 30 more games for an even 900, but at this point they'd probably be either unlicensed (think bible adventures) or hacked games (think Megaman in the Mushroom Kingdom). Either way it was a fairly enjoyable time waster. Anyways, I'm going to be busy for some time. Who knows maybe it'll give me some interesting blogging material.
In a way it got me back to thinking about when I modded my Wii with things like homebrew and gecko in order to play region only games like fatal frame 4 or disaster day of crisis. My only problem now is... which game do I play first. Do I replay some classics like the NES Mario's, Metroid, or Zelda's? Or should I play something awful like any various LJN licensed game like fester's quest or friday the 13th? Now I'm back to a backlog! Who had the bright idea of getting me all these games to play... oh wait... I did...
As always thanks for reading my boring blogs! And I always appreciate the comments! Until next time!
