Every week day that isn't Friday sucks. We all need to admit that.
Chris Is Still Playing Redout

So I tried writing this on Monday but Monday got in the way, and Tuesday well, Tuesday followed Monday's path so here we are. I'm really trying to get this written today because I've hit a pretty good groove in my ripping CDs to the point where I am almost finished (yay!) and I can start getting the loose MP3s into folders so everything will be nice and neat when I move the files over to my backup and have a set for the travel laptop. Before I get more into that let's see what I've been playing when not worrying about music tracks.
NCAA Football 14 – PS3
I've been hitting sim button on the last three games of the year with the exception of the big rivalry game against Arizona. The Sun Devils are out of the running for the Championship game, but they are in the PAC 12 Championship Game against Stanford with a Rose Bowl birth for the winner. I will probably play this game sometime this week.
Redout – Steam
I've played through the races for the Level 1 races and I did ok but there isn't as many gold medal finishes as in previous games. I figured the game is that good until I realized that there is a boost button. Yeah so I tend to skip the tutorial stuff or not pay attention to the controls screen except for the gas and brake buttons. Well after figuring this little tidbit of info it was time to race some older races and how about that, gold medals. There are still a couple of races where I need to work on my cornering because I'm losing time in those spots and the other racers seem to catch up.
As for the game itself I like it. It's a new shiny version of what Wipeout could be (I haven't tried the latest Wipeout game for PS4.) It has the cool vehicle designs, vibrant color environments, crazy tracks, and electronic music. I turn off the electronic music and I go with whatever is on the phone, what's on TV, or podcasts for audio but I do keep the sound effects on. The one thing I miss from other racing games that this game doesn't have is the braking cues that are on the walls. In other races there are points that let you know how far the turn is so you can slow down, and I've gotten used to this. I need to get back to crazy racing mode where I have to figure out the best spots to turn and actually slow down instead of slamming on the brakes or slamming into the walls.
Disney Emoji Blitz – iOS
This is a game I actually play everyday because its quick, its on my phone, I can unlock emojis I never use, and its fun. This week has been a Lion King themed tournament where you can unlock Scar. There are 25 puzzles where you have to collect a certain number of Simba icons per puzzle to advance. Each puzzle has a reward at the end of the puzzle I am on Puzzle 20, which is a Scar reward puzzle. I have two days to finish the last five puzzles. Anyways after level 15 this is what I got
If I complete the next five puzzles I can get two upgrades for Scar.
There are a bunch of other games I want to jump into play especially after BundleStars had their Bundle Week where everyday there was something new (and cheap) and I may have stocked up on games over the past couple of weeks that should keep me busy. SHOULD.
Alright Pixlpeeps I need to get back to work. Have a good week!
That's all for now, more later!
