Mini Review For MvC:I

Gameplay: Very fun. Performing combos is easier than ever thanks to automatic combos.  Basically, taking a page from Smash Bros. to where one button will string together a combo and launch an opponent into the air to continue the combo. There are no more assists, and tagging in your partner will just switch you out. Although you can perform a Super, tag out, then control the new character while the Super is still happening, which is pretty cool.

Graphics: A huge step backward from MvC3. We all heard the bad PR about Chin Li's face. Well, since they styled them after the Marvel movie franchises,  everyone is strange looking and disproportunal. The characters look plastic-y, which is not good.

Sound: Serviceable. No Japanese language option is a downgrade as well. The voice actors sound uninspired, too. Bored, really. The music is the usual assortment of arranged remixes that do not stand out.

Story: The story mode was a really good addition, and I loved going through it. That being said, once you complete it once, that's pretty much it. There's nothing to go back to. No level up system, no alternate paths. You can watch the whole thing on YouTube and call it a day. Shout out to Maximilian Dood. His vids are the best.

Presentation: Gone is the comic book style, replaced by the MCU. You can tell that the developer was not familiar with this "new" style and basically just did enough to hit the deadline. It's a shame, too, because Capcom occasionally hits gold when they are comfortable doing it their way. Instead,  it feels like there was too much interference from Disney.

Final Grade: D.  I hate to say it, but this game is a rental, not a keeper.

I always like to hear "story mode" in a fighting game, but it seems like there's not enough of it.

damn. I heard this was bad but the combat made up for it.
