In my never ending quest to get back to a normal posting schedule here I missed Monday but surprise I'm here for Friday. Yes Friday is Quick Hits day where I recap whatever is on my mind usually non gaming stuff and post pictures of whatever cool pickups I have. Sorry for the little refresher but I figured the past couple of weeks have been crazy. Anyways let's get started.

 

Chris Watches...

Because of my re-acquired love for CSI I've been getting up later because I don't want to leave my bed until the end of the episode which throws off my whole routine, even for episodes I've already seen. Anyways its still the same Grissom era which is nice, and if its not I'm back to the usual routine.

I'm watching more of Netflix and Amazon Video lately especially Netflix to see if I want to keep my subscription when they raise the price of the middle tier, which I currently have. I figure if I don't really watch it outside of House of Cards and the occasional random show, do I really need it. I've started to play the stand up comedy and just listen to it which has been fun. We'll see if I stop my subscription or continue.

As for Amazon Video, I have Prime so its not really a worry especially since I use Amazon Music, and sometimes buy items. Video does have the new Tick as well as some movies I want to watch.

 

Chris Listens To...

I'm officially been caught up with my podcasts for a month now. I've gotten into the habit of not listening to the entire episode when I'm not a fan of the content. I think I've already mentioned that certain segments on the Adam Carolla podcast are skips for me, but now I'm doing that with other podcasts and it works.

As for my goal of ripping CDs to my Musicbee library I am finished! WOOOOOOOOOO! What is different from my current iTunes library is that I didn't add the clean versions of albums I have since replaced with the explicit versions, and the 90s CD I bought that claimed the artists were real but they weren't. My next phase of the project is to add the 13k+ loose MP3 tracks. This is going to take a while because I'm changing the tags and I'm tinkering with having the play count be added to the file. I found a tutorial online but I'm having problems getting it to work.

 

This is what my current setup looks like. When I eventually finish I'll have a nice backup, a library for my travel laptop, also a library for a project I'm currently trying to figure out, and if I go back to Android phones I'll be ready. An added bonus is when family and friends want a copy of a song or album they can have it without any problems. The best part is that now I can weed out the mixtapes from my iTunes library.

 

Randoms

Last week I ordered a plant online and it showed up on my front door yesterday

 

Technically this could be considered a pickup but I thought it was funny that I could be able to order a live plant and it showed up like it was no big deal. Props to the farm for the care in packing this bad boy.

 

Oh I have a Facebook rant: Seriously people stop sharing the stupid stories that have a headline that ends with “You wouldn't believe what happens next.” Stop. I don't even click to open them. In fact I hit the block button. This is up there with articles like ones from Buzzfeed where instead of having all the info on one page they go full on slideshow. It's 2017 we can have all the content on one page. All of this goes with my Stop sharing everything online. I do love the block this page feature. Now if only Twitter had something similar for liked posts I'd be happy.

 

Pickups

I've been good and haven't really purchased anything the past couple of weeks, except for the plant and this game I bought for a $1

 

From what Reddit said it was a good game, and for a buck why not.
