Long time no comment.
I wish my dreams took place in surrealist paintings with a dog guide. Wasn't that an episode of the Simpsons?

Hello Pixlpeeps, long time no write. The past month or so I've been out of it. I really didn't want to write anything, and when I tried to get back into the writing groove it didn't really pan out. Life gets in the way but hey that adds the excitement, right? Anyways after getting things settled I am ready to continue to be a productive member of this little community we have on the internet. Since I've been MIA for a bit let's catch up on some games.
First I played my usual sports games of NCAA Football and NBA 2K Whatever Year it is and I'm doing well. In football my offense is putting up gaudy numbers because I didn't recruit well on the defensive side and the d isn't really stopping teams. They are the weak link of the team. In basketball year three of my franchise is going and I'm still digging the first and second units. I'm debating on cutting my 1st round pick or maybe trading him because he doesn't really fit into the offense. The offense is more up tempo while the center is a typical big body in the half court game that powers their way to the basket.
Steam Games
The past couple of weeks I've been in a racing mood so I've been playing a lot of arcade racers including one I found while digging through my Steam library trying to find that next gem in the sea of bundled games. I haven't found it, yet, but I did start playing this game
This is another one of those toy car racing games that I like so much. Unlike the previous games I've played this one is a bit older and the graphics aren't as detailed but still the fun factor is there. My initial problem with the game is that the developers didn't update it and it would crash on startup. After checking out possible problems I dropped my monitor's resolution down, started up the game, changed the resolution in game to my monitor's default resolution, restarted and the game works!
There's really no difference between this game and other toy racers, you race a toy car, collect power ups and coins, and after each race buy a new car. It's more casual than anything else and I'm enjoying it.
My next racing game I kind of tried is called Speed Kills
Instead of buying cars in this game you go to different worlds to battle race others. Same concept as the toy racers except the weapons kind of suck and if you fall behind early its tough getting back to the front of the pack. The camera really doesn't follow you like the other games so driving into walls can happen if you're not paying attention, and is also the reason why I fell behind in a couple of races. I didn't spend a lot of time playing this game so I really can't say if it is a terrible game or its a fun game if I get used to it. I'll play more of it before I decide what I think about the game.
Dirt 3 is another game I've been playing a lot of because I want to finish the game
I'm really enjoying everything about this game with the exception of the gymkhana stuff. I don't like it, and I'd rather just race than to do crazy things like drift, break barriers and drive around a pole.
Non Racing Games!
I think the whole Zombie craze is stupid, but Zombie Vikings is a fun game where you pick a zombie, and have to kill other weird enemies in search of someone. As you can tell I really didn't pay attention to the into video and story, I just wanted to play. This is one of the games that I wanted within a particular bundle because of the fun art style and how the game screen was like a modern version of the ones seen on Streets of Rage or Double Dragon.
Back to Bed interested me because it looks like a playable Surrealist painting. I tried a couple of puzzles last night and the goal of the game is to get a sleep walking guy to walk into his bedroom. You play as a green dog who has a giant apple that dictates how the sleeping man moves by placing it in his path. At the start of the level you are told if the man turns in which direction and you keep him from falling off the structure and walk into his bedroom.
Mobile Games!
Yesterday while watching WWE's TLC I finished off Level 30 in the Remix section of Super Mario Run and I unlocked
The Remix portion of the game is easily my favorite because everything is so quick and you're trying to collect the rainbow coins to unlock the rainbox question mark boxes. Quick and fun, what more can you ask for in a game on your phone?
Disney Emoji Blitz had a couple of challenges the past couple of weeks and I got to add new character emojis to my stable
I have yet to use any of the unlocked emojis from this game, actually I've used the churro emoji once.
Finally in Injustice 2: The Grind, I have unlocked the Special Superman character and promoted three characters
The goal now is to get Superman's skills up to par so I can team him with my strongest Batman and continue moving through the game.
Alright Pixlpeeps I believe you are caught up in what I've been playing. This week I look forward to getting back to reading all your blogs.
Have a good week!
That's all for now, more later!

I've been thinking of getting Dirt 3 for PS4. It has an extensive VR mode, and what I've experienced so far is VR racing is da bomb. I played Driveclub VR which wasn't great, and poorly reviewed, but it was still awe inspiring. Dirt though has been well recommended.
Back to Bed looks quite cool.
Those disney emojis are funny. Cruella never looked so adorable, ha ha.
I have been kinda in and out myself as well. Its just been a rough time especially with my mental health. Hopefully both of us continue to see improvement and be more active.
Racing games, im not terribly big on but that Zombie Viking game looks interesting. I tried the disney game but it didnt stick.
Here's to us getting back to being active here!
So far Zombie Vikings is fun, and I get to play more of it this weekend. I like Disney Emoji because I have a couple of friends who also play it so its fun to compete against each other for top score and talk about tips and tricks.
I think Dirt 3 has been a freebie on the consoles too. What I like about the Codemaster racing games is that they can be tweaked just enough to where it can be more on the arcade side of racing. It's fun having to think about all the little nuances on the car, but at times its just fun to hit start, complete in a race or two, and then try something else.
