Oh, I'd buy that Millenium Falcon for 99 cents. Too bad my Toys R Us just went bankrupt and won't be around anymore. Maybe I can find one at Walmart?
Quick Hits: Chris Hands Out Candy, And 99 Cent Store Finds

I can't remember if I mentioned it but for the past couple of weeks I've been waking up a half hour early to watch Dog the Bounty Hunter. I usually wake up 45 minutes before my alarm goes off, but now I've become use to waking up just a bit earlier so I can watch a show from the early to mid 2000s. Now I could just record the episodes but there's no fun in that, plus I like to open the windows and get that cool air flowing and watch as the sun comes up, right when Dog usually tries to help the guy they were talking trash about in the beginning of the episode. Also I like to watch because every so often I recognize the area they are in. Its fun to say “I know that spot” especially if that area has changed.
Good morning Pixlpeeps! Today is Friday and I did not go out today looking for new music. Instead I am snaking on fun size leftover candy and watching a Ghost Adventures marathon. This is a good way to start Quick Hits with Chris
Chris and Halloween
I'm not big on Halloween. Even as a kid it was cool to go to school dressed up but it wasn't my favorite time. I did like the Halloween parade at school when I would dress up in those funky plastic costumes with the mask that was impossible to see and breathe through and eventually I went with creating my own. Anyways once again I'm handing out candy to the random 10 kids that hit my street
I bought candy the day before Halloween and I bought the stuff I would eat. I've amended my rules to handing out candy especially to teens. My rule was one piece of candy to teens because they're old enough to buy their own candy. Well last year right when I was calling it a night a kid came up with a young sibling and the teen looked beat, but his younger sibling was having the time of their life. Since the older sibling had a bag I hooked him up with a couple of handfuls and his face lit up. After that it was time to retire my rule and as long as the kids are nice they get candy, regardless of age. Now the parents who walk around a new born asking for candy will still get one piece because baby doesn't care, and mommy and daddy are the ones eating the candy anyways.
I had maybe 15 kids this year, and the best part was all of them were super nice. I got thank you's, Happy Halloween, and one kid wished me a good night. I must have given a lot because they would always look down into their bags and get excited. One house was giving away mini containers of Play Doh. I wanted to ask who but I didn't want to have an extended conversation with random kids. I still have a bunch of candy left over and that's why I'm currently eating small versions of Twix and Kit-Kat.
Chris And The Travel Laptop
Remember when I was setting up a music library for my travel laptop? Well I've ditched the Musicbee software for an older version of iTunes and here is my reason: iTunes maybe slower but I have more devices that run in the Apple Ecosystem, and my Android burner phone/MP3 player can be synced to it with an app called iSyncr, I don't even need to connect the phone. I can just pop out the memory card and it will still sync. I'm currently down to 60GB on my old 1TB drive and I am waiting for Black Friday to see if any stores will have deals on them. I need to find a deal on external hard drives and a pair of new bluetooth earbuds.
Speaking of music, the minute I turned off the porch light on Halloween, it automatically became Christmas time for me. Yeah I'm one of those folks that listen to Christmas music way too early but I love the holiday. It gets cold here in the valley, I get to wear hockey jerseys, every store smells like cinnamon, the mom & pop music store brings out their Christmas CDs, and stores that sell Christmas tress are fun to walk into (we have one of those fake Christmas trees with the built in lights that takes about 5 minutes to setup and no hassle take down)
Pickups
Games
No games. I'm trying to play some of the games I own. This will probably change if I find some online deal.
Music
From the mom and pop shop
Nothing too fancy but stuff I've been wanting for a while. Apparently I never bought the first Danity Kane CD.
From Best Buy
I got the new Pvris album and Too Short's Greatest Hits.
Toys
From the 99 Cents Only Stores
All but the Justice League car is from the 99 Cents Only Store. Justice League is from Walmart. I missed out on the Fast and Furious cars because I wasn't in the mood for the 10 minute drive to this store. I bet if I go to the one in the rough neighborhood I could find the set. I also found a Zamboni by Matchbox. I opened the Fast and Furious Charger, and the Justice League Batmobile. I will probably open the Batt, and the Fast and Furious Escort later. I kinda want to keep the Zamboni sealed.
The last one I found is this
A couple of years ago these were like $5 at Walmart and Target, but now a ton of them showed up at the 99 Cents Only store. They had a complete set on the pegs but really what am I going to do with them if I bought them? I ended up just getting the Falcon because I can sit it next to the two Lego sets I have. I should go back and get another one so I can keep one sealed.
Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. I want to go find a comfy spot on the couch, watch the Ghost Adventures folks get freaked out and changed the tags of the mp3 tracks on my travel laptop. Have a good weekend!
That's all for now, more later!
-Chris
