A couple of days ago I picked up some Double A batteries because I wanted to power up the Wii. I haven't started that machine up in a while and when I went to check on the batteries in the WiiMote, they were trashed. I thought it would be fun to have a console weekend and for the most part is was but I had to jump through a couple of hoops. The PS4 when powered up didn't appear on the screen. Since I have an HDMI switcher I thought I had the wrong input, than I went to maybe the cables were unplugged and then finally I just blamed Sony. Eventually I got it to work, which was odd because nothing was unplugged, and the right input was selected so I'm just going to blame Sony. I found the Mission Impossible Level Set I bought a while back and I thought it would be fun to play that. Since I haven't booted up Lego Dimensions in a while I was a little rusty on what to do. Apparently I needed to download the 1.9 GB world for Mission Impossible.
While this was downloading at a slow pace (C'mon Sony) I searched the Lego site for instructions on how to assemble the Mission Impossible car and motorcycle. I did this, played some Disney Emoji (more on that later) and maybe read some tweets. Finally the download was ready and I jumped into the game. If this wasn't a game that involved toys, this mission would be DLC. I'm not saying its a bad thing but that's what these Level packs are. From what I played it was enjoyable and having a Lego Ethan Hunt roam around along with Batman at the Witch from The Wizard of Oz was a lot of fun there was still the obvious fact that these mission packs need actual game save points. Checkpoints are ok but in regular Lego Video Games after a certain point there is a terminal for you to save your progress. Now you can do that in this game from the menu but if you do you lose your special bar which doesn't happen in regular games. I got to maybe the halfway point of the game and I lost interest. I like that it follows the first movie but with the Lego Charm but after downloading and waiting for the update and then playing without a save point I lost interest. Eventually I will go back to it, along with the Lego Batman Movie, and that Harry Potter game that takes place before Harry Potter. I'm still waiting for the new Ghostbusters set to drop because I refuse to spend retail to support such a horrible movie.
I didn't fire up the 360 because well I don't know. After the Lego game I went back to playing on the laptop and the phone/tablet but there was some PS2 mixed in
I've owned this game for years and never played it. I thought I owned it for PC but that one is I think Operation Nexus or something like that. Anyways back to the Turtles, I wasn't a big fan of the toys back when they were released but I did like the cartoon and the NES game. You pick your turtle and off you go fighting the Foot. I played a couple of levels before going to something else but it's a decent game. The sayings get repetitive and I survived button mashing the bad guys, while picking up floating pizza (in the sewer, gross) and continuing my journey. I like the cell shaded art style and the point of view that shifts from behind to the side depending on where you're at in the game. The game doesn't look bad for PS2.
Onikira is a 2D side scroller/beat'em up with a cool art style, and for at least the first level, it kind of reminded me of God Of War where there was a huge bad guy roaming the background while you had to take out the bad guys. Of course this game is set in Feudal Japan and I think you're a Samurai.
Each section of the game two walls come out of the ground at opposite ends of the screen and bad guys appear from portals. You slash, jump, and do all kinds of attacks and then you move on. Typical rinse/repeat until you get to the boss battle. Between those sections are
Save Points (take a lesson Lego) you can find these right after your battles and there are a couple of them within one level. The boss battle isn't bad and then afterwards you get sent to a screen to see how much you scored and how much of in game currency you collected. With this currency you can purchase I believe new moves and weapons. I didn't have enough to try this out.
**At this point I stopped writing my entry on Monday because stuff came up. Don't you hate it when that happens?**
Grid 2 – Steam
So I bought the last Grid game I didn't have in my collection and started a new career. I couldn't remember if I played this before and I think I have on the 360 or PS3, I'll have to check the game closet. Anyways just like other Grid games, you compete in different types of races spread about between Asia, Europe, and the US. Each area uses cars from that region but this time there is a Social Media aspect where apparently you're trying to start up a new racing league so you challenge different factions in those regions and the more you win, the more fans you gain on YouTube.
Mobile Games
Injustice 2 I'm still doing the same stuff. I'm currently waiting for my three characters to finish their 10 hour mission (I start this mission before I go to sleep). I'm trying to get Flash his fourth star and I'm upgrading the silver characters.
In Disney Emoji Blitz, it's STAR WARS! Yep its a 10 day event where you play through 35 levels and earn some cool emojis. I unlocked all the Star Wars emojis (all Force Unleashed folks)
I'm currently using Finn because it looks like me (Hahaha) so he's my go to until the event is over and then I'm going back to Nemo because I think he has the strongest power of all the emojis. Going back to the Star Wars emojis, Kylo is the big villain in this pack and hopefully in the future I can upgrade him because he would be a fun character to compete with.
Alright Pixlpeeps, I am off. Have a good week!
That's all for now, more later!

That's a shame you didn't like it. I think so far my least favorite has to be the Ghostbusters Level Pack. I thought there would be more to it but it feels empty. With Mission Impossible you get some of the movie refrences. If there were save spots I would like this much more but Dimensions seems to like to drag out levels without having the option to save your progress.
that picture of the unconscious ninja turtle should win some kind of screencap award.
aw, cute little Kylo Ren!
I still have my Wii. I've been thinking of getting rid of my Wii U though. It still has some games I'd like to play, but... I really don't use it.
Haha thanks. I thought it was a funny scene.
I don't really use the Wii as well but I kinda like it and there are still a bunch of games I bought for it that I haven't tried. I may actually have one of the Resident Evil games that should be interesting using the Wii controllers.
