I'm close to finishing Mario Odyssey right now and that will be the first game I've finished in a long while. I need to get back to Persona 5. I burned out on it at the end of the 3rd dungeon. Don't know why.
Year Goal Complete!

So at the start of this year I made a goal to beat 12 games this year. I didnt really set any rules because I felt like that might stress me out over it and while I had moments of small stress it was nothing big. For the most part, this wasn't a complete it thing. This was a finish the main story and done. Yet I'm quite proud of myself and feel accomplished. I made this goal for mostly to avoid the weight goal*didnt really lose anything in that department*. I wanted a year to avoid making some goal I knew I'd focused on for a few months and than fall off the wagon. However smaller reasons were I was hoping it would help me beat new games so I didnt keep buying and putting on a back burner when something else came out. This goal accomplished just that. I beat several games that were released this calendar year alone.
Story of Seasons:Trio of Towns 3DS
Dragon Quest 8 3DS
Ever Oasis 3DS
South Park Fractured But Whole PS4
Super Mario Odyssey Switch
Miitopia 3DS
Released before 2017:
Harvest Moon Skytree Village
Dragon Quest 7
God Eater Resurrection
God Eater 2: Rage Burst
Shantae Half Hero Genie
Ace Attorney Phoenix Wright
I normally don't finish this many games much less newly launched ones at that so overall I'm happy with the outcome. It worked out better than I could have expected. Since this was a success I will keep going with it. Next year I'll set out to beat another 12. What I won't do is keep the 1 a month attitude but more or less work toward finishing and just having a good pace about it. If I pace myself properly I can beat 12 without the 1 a month thinking. You would think that wouldn't be bad but come up on a month and you don't have a game close to finish and stress starts to creep in.
There won't be a review for Miitopia. Reason being, I honestly don't think there needs to be one. If Miitopia didnt catch your attention at launch more or less its not for you. Its that kinda game either you love or hate. While I enjoyed the whacky story and being able to put characters I wanted in the game to flesh the story out I can totally see why someone else might not like the game. The combat was simple enough and turn based but you only controlled one Mii and it was the one you started the game with. Passed that the others did their own thing on their turn. Heck you could practically turn on Auto Battle and it would play itself for the fights. So other than that I don't think much else has to be said.
I will though be making a get more healthy goal alongside my game one. I need to extremely slow down on eating out and stop drinking soda again. I also will be making a goal to get back into belly dance. I used to be pretty darn good and now I can't shimmy or undulate without feeling I'm some worm out of groove.
I appreciate everyone who was here and read my reviews for this long year and goal of mine. Maybe with time my reviews will improve and I won't seem like a rambling goofball. I don't plan to finish anymore games this year but I have been back to playing Persona 5 and its closing in on the end. So maybe a extra for the year? Who knows I guess time will tell. Hope you all are doing well!
