Skyrim Dawnguard : Weekend Play..My Thoughts

SO, I dedicated this weekend to playing Dawnguard and really getting into it.
Thus far, I have accepted my role as a Vampire Lord, and I am trying to get the hang of it. With a level 54 Character I still have little need to change into the cool looking beasty. I do like the additional powers it gives, but that is only because I seriously refuse to feed on anyone.
I have completed the quests that takes you into the Soul Cairin and I like the new Dragon Shout I got, however, there were buggy issues trying to use it.
I got the first word, but I was able to unlock the rest of it. Came back to Tamriel and made the call, and then was taught the second word…. I was like…”UMMM! I already learned and unlocked it..” So now I think I killed that new ability. New DLC working out Beautifully (SARCASM, FEEL IT!)
I have been finding that nothing is too great a challenge for me as I have my vampy sidekick (for the time being) and I always try to have to Vampire thralls (Can’t go no where without my Entourage!)
I have noticed more Gargoyles, but after the first 2 or 3 they get old. I am still waiting for something to pop out at me and make me be glad I downloaded this. But in all honesty… nothing pops out yet.
Maybe I will need to experience it with a new character. But where is the fun in that? The story is not making me feel all warm and fuzzy and the only reason why I am pushing on is because I love the idea of collecting the Elder Scrolls.. (Damn 20lb unreadable scrolls, SIGH!)
Needless to say that everyone can get one, if you do the right quest, and I believe play the main campaign. I feel cheated because I actually found the DRAGON Elder scroll by chance. I explored and got a real treasure.. but I know it has lost its luster, but that is a personal issue.
So I will push on, I have high hopes, but then again.. I am a little worried, but I will keep you guys posted.
