Christmas (or thereabouts) Pick Ups

Well I wasn't going to buy anything this Christmas but, well, you know how that goes.

For The Switch I picked up Mario and Rabbids and a new 128 GB card. Plus in December I bought a physical copy of RE Revelations 1 and 2 and Syberia.

I was pissed off that RE Revelations 2 is a download code but I should have probably read the box. I have no idea why they couldn't fit both games on the cartridge.

Syberia is a game that I have bought several times including Xbox, PS3 and Android versions but the Switch version is the first one I can play on the go without swiping my hands across the screen.

Other digital games I bought in December include Yooka-Laylee, Dreamfall Chapters and Armikrog for the PS4. I have all of them on Steam but since I rarely play games on my laptop and they were cheap I thought I'd buy them on a platform that I might actually play them on.

In other news I bought a half a bottle of Elijah Craig Bourbon. I have no idea what happened to the other half. :)

Bourbon is becoming my go to drink now that I have a kid. i find myself wanting a drink, but not something the size of a beer... Bourbon is perfect. I have a single barrel Knob Creek that I have been really enjoyinh... I may have half a bottle of that. no idea where the other half went.

I almost bought the Knob Creek Single Barrel but something about the Elijah Craig made me pick it instead. Maybe next time Knob Creek, maybe next time.

I haven't either. I put the card in, downloaded the extra stuff and promptly started playing Syberia.

Only thing remotely gaming-related that I got for Christmas was a $35 gift card to Bull Moose Music.They have games, retro games, movies, music, and books, all under one roof. I did grab Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles during one of the PSN sales, so I guess technically that counts, lol.

Between my birthday and Christmas (which are only three days apart) and the money I got from those two events, December turned out to be really robust month for getting games, which you can get the full scoop on by reading my December recap (which I still need to write lol). The highlights, though, are Cave Story+ and Axiom Verge for the Switch
