lol just playin. nice pick-ups. Now is the time to scoop up PS2 games at Gamestop, they will stop taking them in trade VERY soon which means they will stop carrying them soon as well.

Ok so went to my local gamestop for lunch and found this ps2 gem Dokapon Kingdoms for $5.99 on amazon disc only $30 then although i didnt have the money i saw Fatal Frame II Crimson butterfly for $17.00 and im hoping it will still be there Tuesday when i get paid and by the way Fatal Frame is a $50 game all day so hopefully know one gets it . But in all i was glad to get the one game anyway.
PS2 games are already gone in my area. I heard all the suburb stores sent their ps2 games to the city stores where they still sell a little bit. However I have one retro store that just opened in my local mall that has some. It's now my only source aside from GoodWills, CashConverters and online of course.
I'm surprised Dokapon Kingdom is going for that much. At one point in time the game was on clearance - for both the Wii and PS2 version - thanks in part to some harsh reviews it got in the past (most of it was complaints about playing the game solo). Still, it's always nice to find a great deal on something you know is priced outrageously elsewhere (kind of like Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI).
It never ceases to amaze me at the rediculous prices some of these ps2 games go for and today after seeing fatal frame 2 for 17 bucks then i get home and was going to trade Hitman Trilogy for it but alas it was sold and i just cant get over the fact that if i would have had a little more cash on me i would have it in my collection right now, just makes me sick and i know the damn guy that works there bought it cause wgen i got Dokapon Kingdom in mint condition case and manual of course, me and my big mouth said wow cant beleive you gypuys got these and then i spurted out the value and said i will be back to get it and got back they changed shifts and him and the game was gone grrrr this is one of thoughs deals that i just cant let go that FF game was in awesome condition complete and i let it slip from my grasp.
And I got so lucky finding Romance for $10 bucks at Gamestop thats one time i was glad i got it and the condition of it was amazing it was brand new not a wrinkle in the manual or a hair on the disc and its crazy how the value of that game has risen in the past year.
That's... unfortunate that you missed out on Fatal Frame II . Most people don't know the value of the games that are sitting on those shelves, which is why I never talk about it in the open. From what I've seen, there are people who are willing to overpay for these games, as Amazon and eBay are their only options to buy them. So, you're probably right about that guy grabbing that game to post it online. Even if he put it up there for a quick sell at $30-35, he's going to make something off of it. Anyway, too bad you weren't able to charge the game just so that you could get it.
Also, I don't know how GameStop flubs the value of certain used games (like Wizardry for the PS2 for $3). Games that are complete and in perfect condition should be treated with a bit more care, and definitely not priced the same as a disc-only copy. But, if they don't want their cut that's fine by me. It's their loss and our gain after all.
Well, Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land is somewhat on the rare side. It was a near-launch PS2 game (it's actually on a CD-ROM), and it does have some worth these days. Interest in the game is still there (especially now with the explosion of first-person dungeon crawlers), so it might be a good idea to grab it as long as it is complete.
well as usually it was disc only and scratched so i passed on it but i did get Hack 1 & 2 and Beyond good and Evil all three were in great shape and all but Hack 1 had the manuals but Hack 1 did have mint condition cds and original cover art and Yes i know thoughs are the ones that are more common.
Well being a ps2 collector i would hope the ps2 lol but seriously the wii is newer and they have one for i think the gameboy not sure though i do know they have a handheld version as well, but the wii version is newer but never played it the ps2 is pretty fun though.
I hope you can still get Fatal Frame Crimson Butterfly. I got the game a while ago, and it's terrifying (which is the point, of course.) I think I paid maybe 20 used for it, but the game seems very hard to find, so I lucked out, I guess.
I would perhaps call the Gamestop you saw FF:CB at, and if it is still there see if they will hold it for you. It may be just for a day, but that's one day no one else can get it. Good luck.
Oops my bad I didn't read all the comments before commenting myself..sorry you lost out on FF:CB. You never know, it could pop up again.
At least you got Beyond Good and Evil, that's a great game. It seems there will be a sequel, but who knows when? It's turning into a Kingdom Hearts 3 or Duke Nukem Forever. (Which of course did actually come out, and really is not a bad game, all things considered. I'd recommend it, only 5 bucks at Gamestop. THAT game you should find easily. :)
Yea im still sick i should have drove home got a trade in and got it lol but i was in a company truck and work for the school district so i really couldnt do that, but then i went when i got off and bingo gone go figure but i did get Dokapon Kingdom for 6 bucks so it wasnt all bad.
Lol yea im still sick over that loss, Yes they also released a Wii version as well and i actually found the game really fun, and the fact i can play it with my kids are even better, and the funny thing is this game is very hard to find as well and i found it in mint condition to.
War of the monsters was a cool game i wish i ciuld find that one lol so hows part 2 to your strategy guide going? looking forward to it and that game i found Dokapon Kingdom i played it with my Daughter yester day and although shes whipping me its a kick butt party rpg game p, I could so see you guys diing a strategy guide with it lol.
