BaD 09 Dynasty Warriors 9 Release Day!

So its no secret Im a huge Dynasty Warriors fan. Heck I love the whole Warrior type series whether its Samurai, Dynasty, Hyrule, etc. Ive been particularly excited for 9 because of the big change they implemented and thats pretty much each chapter battlefield is like one big open world that you can essentially tackle anything missions wise in any order. The formula isnt perfect by no means but for a big change its pretty well done. The game has lagged some but I can honestly say it hasnt been no where near as much or bad to ruin the experiance. Im only on the second chapter for Wu's storyline but I am enjoying it immensely. A great V day present for sure. The only thing Im sad over so far, is its no longer has multiplayer. DW 9 is stricly single player and while I get why I have always enjoyed playing these games with someone else. I was hoping to play it with my sister again like old times since we both now have PS4's. Hopefully multiplayer is brought back on down the line.

Overall today was good. I watched my niece, got to see and exchange gifts with the bf for V day, and Im getting some gaming time in before bed tonight. I still need to catch up on here, Im sorry guys! Im gonna work on it, I promise!

I agree, finding couch coop friendly games is tough sometimes and in the previous years it wasnt that bad. They have been making a small comeback lately but still not like it used to be.

Are there any Dynasty Warriors characters you think I would like?

I tried the first Dragon Quest Heroes game but since I don't know much about the characters so I didn't get into the game as much.

I was more into Hyrule Warriors since I'm more familiar with the Zelda franchise, but I only enjoyed playing that game co-op. So I don't know if I will get the Switch version since I don't have as many opportunities to play co-op like I used to.

You know what Dynasty Warriors spin off I'd like to see? Kirby Warriors!

That would be a great spin off game for Kirby! It could happen too. Hyrule Warriors made that a possibility so we could see a Kirby Warriors.

I like the series, but I usually jump in every other game. I might try this out because of the open world gameplay.

Did you happen to play Dynasty Warriors 8? It was also a pretty good series. I know Dynasty Warriors 9 has its flaws but I'm still loving the game and enjoying it. I wish I could have played it more today.

I was trying to get into the series a little while ago to play co-op. I couldn't get Mark interested enough and, I think, the games didn't have online co-op just couch co-op. Also, Mark's not playing button mashy games anymore due to shoulder issues.

I want to say that Dynasty Warriors 8 I thought had online co-op however now that I think about it I'm not sure. I would always play those games on couch Co-op so I never used the online. Now Dynasty Warriors 9 is completely single player. They couldn't get multiplayer to work properly with what they went with.

Interesting they went for an open world. But from what i understand this series needed a shot in the arm.
