It is Friday and I had a couple of sad looking Fillet O’Fish earlier for lunch because it’s Catholic Friday and it’s no meat day. I’m eyeing some clam chowder for dinner or at worst, some sad fish tacos. Anyways since today is Friday I am going with a Quick Hits today instead of the Versus theme because I couldn’t think of anything to pit against each other, and I bought some Hot Wheels over the past 10 days or so, so let’s get started!

 

Chris Listens To…

I’m currently copying my iTunes collection to the Music Backup drive because I put everything in alphabetical order on another hard drive and it’s easier to find stuff this way than with iTunes’ way of cataloging artists (the compilations folder is crazy). I also did this because my cousin asked if she could have a copy of my library. Years ago I mailed her a CD wallet of something like 10-15 discs full of random stuff and she still has it. Well now the library has grown so once I copy it over to the Backup Drive, I need to pickup another external drive, copy the contents to that, toss it in a box and mail it out. That should be my weekend right there. Also with the original drive, it goes to my travel laptop so now I’ll have a copy of my library on the little computer. This is also going to be the computer I download mixtapes to so I don’t have to waste space on my main laptop.

 

Chris Roams Around.

While at the .99 Cents Only store in a neighboring town looking for Lego Dimension sets (I found nothing. Thanks resellers) I spot this in their electronics section

 

I thought this was a cool game tie-in. I wonder if it was .99 cents.

 

At a Target later on in the week I spot this

 

This is what actually sparked my interest in buying a little keyboard for the iPad. I thought it was a cool item but I’d rather have a stand alone keyboard so I could use it with other bluetooth items without having to drag around the iPad case. Also I take pictures of stuff I want to look up later on.

 

I ordered an Amazon Basics CD Book to try it out and see if its something worth moving my CD library to and so far it feels like a solid book. I would stick with the 128 books over the 400 books because the 400s would be way too heavy and easily tear (the cheapo ones I’ve bought have broken). Anyways in the box this was the sticker

 

This tells me there was someone who tried eating this sticker. It would be nice if people used some common sense.

 

Alright it’s time to look at some pictures of cars made for kids that an adult bought just to put in plastic cases, or open and make car noise (so I’ve been told).

I like Matchbox because they make castings of some odd vehicles. I have a Zamboni and now I have a Duck Boat. If I run into the Speed Trap sign again I’ll get it.

  

On a random trip to Walmart with my cousin I look into the dump bin to see if there was anything new. Last time I looked through the bin they had the Beatles set but someone bought all of the VW Buses which would complete the set so I never bought this set. This time they had the new Star Wars set which is really cool because one of the first sets I bought when I started buying cars again was the previous Star Wars set

It’s a cool set that I doubt will be worth anything but will be cool to one day display.
