Definitely need to have Kirby's Air Ride. I liked that game more than Mario Kart: Double Dash.
Games I would like to see on a hypothetical Gamecube Classic Edition

Nintendo has made a lot of money off of the miniaturized editions of the NES and SNES. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug, especially when the games are really good. A N64 Classic Edition is seen as the logical next step, although there are rumors that a Game Boy Classic Edition is in the works next. But to be honest, I'm not too enthused about a N64 Classic. I would personally much prefer a Gamecube Classic Edition myself.
To me, the Gamecube, despite the fact that it came in third on the market (though only a million units separated it from the Xbox, and it was apparently the only 6th-gen console that actually turned a profit) redeemed a lot of the shortcomings I saw on the N64. It had better third party support and wasn't reliant upon Rare, a developer of which I wasn't as fond of as a lot of other people, it brought back a couple of Nintendo's dormant franchises, and it had good RPGs and fighting games, two genres where the N64 was seriously lacking. It was personally one of my favorite Nintendo consoles. I doubt we'll see a Gamecube Classic Edition due to its relatively low sales and the fact that Gamecube games are much bigger than even N64 games, and much more complex to emulate on a SoC. The storage on a NES Classic, which could easily hold every NES game ever made with room to spare, would hold two single-disc Gamecube games at most. I'd settle for having Gamecube games on the Switch's Virtual Console, whenever that appears. But let's say there was a GC Classic Edition in the works. Here are the games I'd like to see on it.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
These are no-brainers. The Gamecube was my favorite console as far as Zelda is concerned, although BotW is an incredible game and becoming one of my favorite Zeldas ever. Part of me would rather see the HD versions of these games ported to Switch, but these games are a must on a GC Classic Edition.
Super Mario Sunshine
Duh. It's Mario. Can't have a Nintendo system without Mario.
Mario Kart Double Dash
Mario Kart would also definitely make the cut on a GC Classic Edition.
Super Smash Bros. Melee
The Gamecube's best-selling game ever would be on here, of course.
Metroid Prime 1 and 2
I'll always be grateful to Gamecube for bringing back Metroid.
Resident Evil Remake
RE4, awesome as it is, gets ported to pretty much every system under the sun at some point, so why not the REmake? Alternatively, RE Zero.
Tales of Symphonia
The Gamecube actually had quite a few competent RPGs on it, unlike the N64 (which did have Ogre Battle 64 and Harvest Moon 64, to give it some credit), and Symphonia was and still is awesome. It was my GOTY 2004.
Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life
This was my favorite version of the series, and apparently it was the best-selling Harvest Moon of all time.
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Nintendo's own entry into survival horror.
F-Zero GX
Why not? I'm sure that F-Zero X will make it onto the N64 Classic.
Kirby Air Ride
Not the best Kirby game, but still.
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
I actually completed this version of MGS, unlike the original PS1 version
Viewtiful Joe
This was one of the most original games on the Gamecube, and an example of the genius of Clover/Platinum Games.
SoulCalibur II
This was the best fighting game on the Gamecube, and it was awesome just for having Link in it.
Skies of Arcadia Legends
I seriously doubt this would show up even if they did make a Gamecube Classic edition, but it's a great RPG. Hopefully Sega will at least re-release it on Virtual Console or PS4.
So what games would y'all like to see on a Gamecube Classic Edition, or a GC Virtual Console on Switch?
