I started Yakuza Kiwami recently and I don't know if I like it as much as Yakuza 0. Part of it is I lived through 2005 and it's no 1988. Part of it is I haven't done near as many side missions/activities five chapters in as I did in 0 only two chapters in.

Also, I really want to play Virtua Fighter 4 in the arcades, but unlike OutRun and Space Harrier in 0, you can't just walk up and play it. I'm guessing I have to complete a substory before I'm allowed? Lame.

What is still good about Kiwami is the storyline thus far, but even then it's not as good as 0. Once I get more unlocked and complete more substories, I'm hoping to have the same affection for Kiwami as I do for 0, but time will tell. It may be I've just had too much Yakuza in too short a timespan. Might be time to break Horizon: Zero Dawn back out to finish the latter half.

Other than that, I'm still just getting Night in the Woods second playthrough trophies and taking down colossi every now in then in the Shadow of the Colossus remake. Honestly, there are so many 2017 games I need to finish, my 2018 may be dedicated to just completing those.

One hour and twenty minutes until my Spring Break ...

Have fun on Spring Break, hopefully you can get some game time in a finish a few more titles! I still need to start Yakuza Kiwami. If I like it Im gonna get Yakuza 0.

My "Spring Break" will be getting a week off from babysitting. My sister wont be in school so Ill be able to have more free time even on the days I work overnights. I am going on a small trip this Sunday till Tuesday. It will be nice to get away for awhile, especially since I havent been able to do this sort of thing in forever.

I think 0 is way better than Kiwami, but maybe it's whichever you play first? Kiwami's recharging boss health is pissing me off.

Have fun!

I know Space Harrier sucks, but I played a lot of it as a kid (I had a Sega Master System) and it will always have this kind of mystique for me. The music, the style of it, the graphics... it fed my imagination when I was a kid.

Space Harrier is pretty fun. I have no nostalgia to base that on. Maybe Master System is different from arcade version.

Arcade version is definitely better, Sega Master System was no beast. Same thing with Outrun, the arcade version is very pretty to look at, very vibrant colors.

Yeah, the arcade versions are what's in yakuza I'm guessing.

I'm going to pick up a Yakuza game when I need one of those retro arcade games to play for my retro fix. Weird? Yep. But I'll play Yakuza too and I've always wanted to.

The game is set in '88, so I'm guessing it'll be a while?

Well, Space Harrier is '85, so I might get to it in July.

Aw man, you can't play arcade games in the new Yakuza game?  I hope the arcade lady found another job.

Apparently, you can only play the cat fight minigame from 0, which, boooo!

There's always a chance I'm just missing something though.

I always got a kick out of playing a video game...inside another video game. You need to find a way to unlock that OutRun game. Why hasn't there been an update version of OutRun?

Outrun isn't locked. You can play it any time in Yakuza 0. Kiwami has VF4 arcade cabinets, but no actual arcade games. Boo.
