I just sent you a friend request on the Switch.
Did you know the first R.B.I. Basball on the NES was a port of the first game in Namco's popular Family Stadium (Famista) baseball games in Japan? Namco makes some good baseball games.

Pixlpeeps, Happy Monday! I went to the gym earlier this morning and this new guy keeps taking “my” treadmill. That’s fine because the one next to it has a better view, but this is what bugs me. Since it is a neighborhood gym the rule is that once you’re finished wipe down the station and there are two dispensers at either end that have those Clorox Wipes. Guy just hops off the machine, and walks away. Gross. Anyways that’s my random morning rant. Let’s get started with What Chris is Playing!
Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 - Steam
It’s been a couple of days since I have completed the story mode of the game, and the Guardians 2, and Black Panther DLC missions so it was time to tackle the next important item, unlocking the Gwenpool Pink Bricks. Unlike previous games, the pink bricks are scattered throughout the open world portion of the game and the only way to unlock them is to play two character missions that unlock the Gwenpool mission. Since I’d rather have these bricks first instead of tackling every available mission within the game, the first two bricks I chased with the help of IGN’s walkthrough (It’s not a good walk through) After doing this, I’d decided it would be more fun just to unlock the brick missions organically by just playing each mission before tackling the required stuff I need in the story missions.
Super Mega Baseball Extra Innings - Steam
This is a game I bought in a Humble Bundle because I wanted this game and maybe one other game but got an additional five (?) games with them for $5. What I wanted was a not too serious sports game that isn’t overly complicated (I do like playing MLB The Show, but I don’t go into all the crazy baseball tactics) and this one scratches that itch. Sure it can be more deep but I like to just play a simple game with fun character models in a game that doesn’t take itself too seriously. There are no pro teams so it’s made up squads but the squads are built to suit various needs. There’s a heavy hitters squad that slow, but they have a lot of power, a hitter squad that can make contact, but doesn’t have the power, and the defensive team that doesn’t make too many errors. I went with the hitter squad because there’s nothing wrong with a team that hits singles.
The game reminds me of old RBI Baseball on the NES, or World Series Baseball on the Game Gear with the presentation. You can try and aim for the fences by selecting a power swing, but I stuck with good ol’ make contact. In pitching before throwing you can select the pitch aim for an area you want to pitch it to and hope for the best. There isn’t a lot to the game and after my first game I won 20-3 and the game wanted me to move up in difficulty from the default. I’m sticking with default because 20 runs is always fun. I like it, it’s fun colorful, and isn’t too serious.
Gear Club Unlimited - Switch
This is the game I really wanted to play on the Switch. I enjoyed the mobile game but being handcuffed to grinding unless you spent real money to progress wasn’t my ideal good time, so when I saw that the full game was available for the Switch it was my must play and so far I’m enjoying the game.
Gear Club is a racing game with short tracks, consisting of a point A to point B race or racing laps, usually two or three in various environments. It’s designed to for short bursts when you’re on the go but you can also just sit and constantly race. I’ve done both and its both enjoyable. There are a group of races usually four or five for a championship. There are three stars to be earned for each race and if you finish first you earn all three stars. The more stars you collect you unlock new sections where there are new races and cars to purchase.
You earn in game currency for each race as well for winning the Championship and that can be put to upgrading your cars, buying new cars, and upgrading your garage
As you progress you need to constantly upgrade both the garage and cars to be competitive and your team will notify you if your car isn’t up to the minimums for the race. Usually if you upgrade your car a couple of times the race will get an Easy ranking and you can breeze through it.
There isn’t much to this game. It was ported over from mobile, so the graphics aren’t up to the current gen in terms of details but the fun is there, the quick shots of racing are always fun because they are roughly long enough to fill a commerical break, and who doesn’t love to race?
RBI Baseball 2017 - Switch
Remember when I talked about how much I really enjoyed Super Mega Baseball? Well this is the not so fun, “real” baseball version of it. There’s no commentators, it’s just full on here’s the baseball game, stay awake. I played maybe a couple of innings of this game before I went back to racing. I mean if I take the time to get use to the mechanics of the game I might enjoy it but for right now, I’m not feeling it, and it might be a bust in my small Switch Library.
Oh before I forget if you good people want to be Friends on the Switch and constantly get hit with “Chris is Playing Gear Club…again” updates here is my Friend Code

Alright Pixlpeeps I need to get going here. Have a good week!
That’s all for now, more later!

IGN has some really good guides, honestly.
I never know if I should wipe down the treadmill and other equipment before, after, or before and after. I always wonder is my sweat just mixing with those wipes? Weird to think about.
Luckily, I now only need the gym for weights, since I finally got a wearable fitness tracker (re: smart watch/Garmin VivoSmart 3) to track my outdoor activity.
No they do, I was just frustrated that they didn't include on how to trigger the mission. Their walkthrough starts once you unlock the mission. Apparently you have to unlock two characters and after that Gwenpool shows up and then you can enter the Gwenpool mission.
I always wipe down afterwards. Most of the people I've seen that use the neighborhood gym do this, but it bugs when that one guy just walked away.
I haven't ventured over to the weights. I should at some point but for now, I like my alone time with the treadmill, my podcasts, and the view.
