I think all conventions are line simulators. I went to SGC in Dallas a couple times and there was A LOT of looking at the schedule and seeing which one of us should get in which line.
I really want to play Detroit.
Hope you're having fun!

I came back from PAX on Sunday since I didn't have Sunday Badges but it was a really good time and a different experience.
It's really a line simulator convention where you need to be prepared to wait in line. For example panels (depending on the panel) you needed to get in line about an hour in advance or earlier. The main attraction is the expo hall where you need to wait to play game demos which I completely understand.
I got to try Code Vein and Detroit - both really awesome games. I mainly then just walked around because some of the lines were too much.
If I ever do go again I will def get a Thursday, Friday, Sunday badge instead. Saturday I felt was not worth it for how busy it was in the expo hall. Granted the afternoon it gets better to walk around in but I felt Thursday and Friday and Sunday are the days it is not as busy.
I bought a few things plushie wise and bought Lost Odyssey. Almost got myself Lufia 2 but I was like ehhhhh I can get it cheaper off ebay.
Over all though it's very different from an anime convention and probably not a go to every year just every so often for me personally.
This is why I like to go to conventions like E3 and PAX as a member of the press. I don't have to wait in lines! I just set up meetings with whatever company has a game I want to play, and that's it. Of course it means I have a ton of work to do. But I don't complain. I don't like it when video game journalists complain about stuff like that. I've ripped many of them a new one when they do that. By the way, after five years of not being approved to go to E3 as a member of the media, for some reason this year I got approved! So I may be going to E3 this year.
