I’m really liking this blogging while still in bed. It’s comfortable, quiet, and I don’t have to get up. It’s good times. Anyways so as I lay here, with the laptop propped up, after playing my two go-to games on the iPad (Marvel Strike Force and Disney Heroes Battle Mode), it is time to update you good people on what has been going on in my little piece of the world wide web. This past week I’ve had a cold. I like to think it was just a cold. You know the basics: achy, headache, runny nose, and wanting to sleep, and I think I hit the worst of it yesterday when I had a four hour nap, but after that I was feeling good. Right now the only problem I have is trying to consistently breathe through my nose. So this Quick Hits are things I did while being sick.

Chris Watches…

WWE Network

Since I was camped out on the couch it was all about what was on TV. When I couldn’t find anything good I went with what was I able to stream and there is a ton of content on WWE Network. I went with a 2 hour Pay Per View from the late 80s. It was fun to watch wrestlers I know when they were young and this is a company I remember watching with my Grandparents in Hawaii. It was on before lunch on ESPN and we would watch (my grandparents were huge fans because they thought it was real) and after the show was over we would eat lunch. Anyways it was fun to watch.

NBA Finals - ABC

I watched the 4th quarter of the NBA Finals because I really don’t care about either the Cavs or Warriors but hot damn that quarter was crazy. LeBron carried that team until

01

Yeah that. Anyways after that Draymond being his usual acting like a jack--- and I get that is his thing. He’s supposed to get under people’s skin but realize that a team with three all star’s couldn’t handle one guy and four stiffs who couldn’t throw the ball into the bay if they were standing in the middle of it had you beat at home, calm your antics a bit.

Chris And Apple Music Vs Spotify

So last week I said that if I had to choose at that moment Apple Music would win, well I changed my mind. When I tried the iCloud stuff it kept crashing my iTunes because it was trying to do too many things at one time and since iTunes is a bloated mess (after a certain point trying to copy music files over takes forever) this was a no go. The thing that pushed me back to Spotify was that my library was no longer my main library. If I would have used iCloud Apple has control of my music. I couldn’t use my playlists I created on iTunes and the one thing that was the worst thing I ran into was that it erased my star counts for my Top 100 playlist I created using smart playlists. I mean for folks who are on their phones all the time this works for them but for my uses iTunes is my main music library. I want to control my music, and not rely on Apple.

Since I’m back on Spotify, I’ve been listening to their new music playlists along with listening to new albums and singles. I wish the Kanye West album had a physical version but I guess that is where music is going.

Chris Reads

Since I’ve been either on the couch, or in bed this past week I caught up on the book I was reading, Dirty Sexy Politics by Meghan McCain. I went from 4% finished to just a little above 70% in two days. I could finish this book by the end of the weekend if I try and I have a ton of books I want to check out next that are just sitting on my Kindle App.

At some point I need to read the Voter Book because this Tuesday we get to vote in California (less than enthusiastic yay). I’m going to read the book, and then “write” out my picks on my phone so when I am in that funky foldable table with walls I can write down my pics while listening to my usual Murs For President album, and get a bad sticker in return. You folks who have nice stickers, you are lucky. For some reason California loves the little crappy stickers.

It’s like an intern used Microsoft clip art and called it a day.

My 6 month trial for Washington Post is up on July and I decided to not continue with it. If you have Prime $3.99 is a steal for a national newspaper but I wasn’t really using it. I would get alerts on my phone about breaking news, and then instead of clicking on it I would go to Reddit, and then somehow get caught up watching funny .gifs/videos of animals. The video of the dog hitting piano keys and singing along is hilarious.

Pickups

Games

03

I think I added this to my Switch Library via laptop but if not I’ll just download it again on the Switch. I’m assuming this is a Freemium game so I will try it for a bit and we shall see if there is an actual game here or just a money grab.

Music

So I spent $8 on iTunes and bought this album

04

Again I wish it was an actual CD but what can you do. The Life of Pablo was also digital. Anyways I listened to this yesterday on Spotify and I liked it.

Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. Maybe I should get up now, but I will either take a nap or read. Anyways have a good weekend Pixlbit and here in Sunny Southern California we’re going to be under an excessive heat warning.

That’s all for now, more later!

-Chris

I like any game with the word "quest" in it.

They're usually fun.

I tried Pokemon Quest the other day.  It hardly even counts as a game.  You can equip modifiers on your Pokemon to make them more powerful, and cook food to attract new Pokemon.  But when it comes to battle, all you do is basically watch them go at it with little interaction from the player.  It'll also be on cell phones later in June, and I think that's a better place for this type of game.  I'll probably review it anyway, though.  Might as well.

I thought it was fun. The don't do anything is kind of like the Disney Heroes game I play and I like the concept.

Those JR Smith memes are gold. Well, some of them. I think we've all been both LeBron and Smith at some point in our lives, depending on the situation.

Oh we have but it seems to happen to JR much more than normal. When things like that happen, Twitter becomes gold with all the comments.

I don't follow basketball well enough to really know Smith, but a headline calling him a "space cadet" was pretty funny.
