Anthem Makes Me Want to Smoke Crack

And that's my thoughts on that. Things are chill here, sort of. It's been hot as fuck, which I don't like, but oh well. It's nice in the mornings so far but that will change as it gets hotter. I downloaded West of Loathing and Fortnite on my Switch but haven't played either. Been too busy writing. It's all I do lately.

I plan to see Incredibles next week. Was gonna go this week but my mom felt ill. Looking forward to it, loved the first one.

Otherwise the slow, hot days of summer are here. The book I'm working on is a collection of short stories about famous writers in preposterous situations. I'm actually very excited about it. I've been sending the stories to journals as I finish them. Haven't heard back yet. Soon.

Anyway, I hope all of you are well. I'm looking forward to Spiderman and the new Dragon Quest game a lot, but next month is Octopath Traveler, and I'm definitely getting that. That game rules.

I'm going to see Incredibles 2 in about 2 and a half hours from now.

I finished the book Putin Country yesterday and now want to read All Or Wrong Tomorrows.

Hope it cools down. My runs have been toasty. 6 miles today.

Yeah, Anthem.... I was a little excited last year but since then I’ve completely changed my mind. I’m looking forward to the new Kingdom Hearts and Fire Emblem.

We just got back from the library where I checked out two of Octavia E. Butler‘s books. Thanks to a Google Doodle this week made me want to check her stuff out.

As for going to the movies, I’m done with that. My wife and I went to see Deadpool 2 last Friday and we get up to the window to be told the only seats they had side by side was the front row. We said what do you mean only seats side by side? They do assigned seats at that theater now. So we said the hell with that and we will get the movie on 4k Blu-ray.

Deadpool was actually pretty damn funny. I'm not a fan of the assigned seats either, but it seems theaters are only doing it for IMAX shows. At our theater, a regular show doesn't have assigned seats. Pretty annoying though, I agree.

It reminds me of the first time I read Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer. More uses of the "c" word per page than any other book.

I still remember a friend of mine who got me to read the book saying to me he was going to send it to his sister. He honestly thought it was a good idea. Ha ha. I told him no. Are you crazy?

Its been hot here in Texas too. Im ready for Fall!

Im getting Octopath Traveler next month as well. I know they have a new demo on the Eshop but Im waiting till it gets closer to release to download it. Im also getting Sonic Mania Pus since I missed the original release and Code of Princess EX.

I'm gonna skip the demo too cause I played the first one. Sonic Mania is on my list.

Eh, I liked Destiny 2, so maybe Destiny with mechs will hook me.

That the incredibles came out nearly 15 years ago freaks me the hell out. Feels like half that time.

I have nothing against Destiny, I just don't see how Bioware which makes conversation story games is the choice to do a clone. I love those old Bioware games. Ug.

Yeah I'm a little shocked by the time between incredibles movies too. We age fast sometimes!

Freakin' A it's hot. We went through a couple of days of exessive heat warnings and the weekend was "cool" because it was only 100. I miss winter.

I should go back to playing Fortnite on the Switch. It's fun to just watch the other folks go nuts building things while roam around trying not get taken out by the purple storm.

I wanna see a Doublefine Kart Racer with all their characters: Raz, Eddie Riggs, Reynold and Wren, Charlie Blackmore, and Shay and Vella.

Saw Incredibles 2. Loved it. Pixar at their best. Only thing that bothered me was the voice acting for Mrs. Incredible. Is she talking through dentures? Sure sounds like it. Very distracting. Otherwise amazing and I cried after the opening short film.
