I'm gonna get that Bloodstained Curse of the Moon game eventually. I didn't really play the 16 bit castlevanias, but I did play a hell of a lot of the NES ones and I have good memories of them.

Games Beaten
-Titanfall 2 (PS4)
I played Titanfall 2 for the single-player campaign and it did not disappoint. It was not terribly long but every moment counted and I never felt like I was playing through filler. The game felt good to play and there was always something new to learn or experience (the time-hopping level was awesome). The titan gameplay was the icing on the variety cake. I dabbled in the multiplayer and had a good time. That's as big of a time sink as you want it to be. All in all a very fun game.
-Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon (Switch)
A throwback, a sendup, an homage to the past—pick your phrase, they all touch on what Curse of the Moon is. Styled after Castlevania III, this game looks and sounds and plays deliberately retro while holding onto some modern niceties to keep it from being frustrating. It's fun to play and packs decent replay value into its short length. Easily recommended.
Games Bought
June was a weird (but awesome) month for pick ups. My wife picked up several PS2 games at a library book sale—Shining Tears, a co-op action RPG which actually looks pretty cool, and Kingdom Hearts: Re: Chain of Memories. I played the orignal version of that on GBA, so I'm not in any rush to play it but it's cool to have. Speaking of that series, we also found a mint copy of the first Kingdom Hearts (PS2) at Goodwill. I've played that already too but again, it's cool to have it. PS+ netted my Call of Duty: Black Ops III, XCOM 2, and Trials Fusion on PS4, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier on PS3, and Squares on Vita. Not a bad line up.
But all that pales in comparison to what bookended the month. Early on we finally found an SNES Classic for retail price. Woot! Than at the end of the month Nintendo decided to finally restock the NES Classic and I snagged one of those too. Double woot! So between those and last month's Sega Genesis collection, I am drowning in retro goodness!
Now Playing
-Sega Genesis Classics: Alien Soldier (PS4)
This crazy boss rush game from Treasure is what pushed me to get this collection and it has been a blast to play. Currently on stage 21 of 25.
-SNES Classic: F-Zero
This is my first time playing the original F-Zero and it's tough. Still trying to finish the third Grand Prix league.
-Earth Defense Force 2025 (PS3)
Four more missions to go on Hard difficulty. There are two more difficulty levels after that and three more character classes I haven't even touched yet O_O
-Destiny 2 (PS4)
Mostly been playing PvP lately.
