I’ve watched a lot of game play and decided I had to get it this go around. Sonic Mania Plus, Plus being the added content from the original release last year that was digital only. Now I’m done, lol. I’m saving up to get a WonderSwan. I’ve decided to buckle down and get one. Anyway, thanks for reading. Also please do not think less of me, if that’s possible, lol.

Great game! It's been a long time since something actually reminded me why I used to like sonic.

Now I just wish they'd do this for more genesis titles. I want to see a new phantasy star or beyond oasis or... Well they did wonder boy so I'm happy about that at least.

I wouldn't have any faith in Sega themselves trying to do this sort of thing for other old Genesis games. Sonic Mania, after all, was spearheaded by a fan-turned-professional who actually understands what makes Sonic great (something Sonic Team has clearly lost). Same thing with that great Wonder Boy remake. Made by someone who loved the old games, not by Sega. I'm sure in the right hands, many of these old franchises could be awesome again.

I can stand Sonic gameplay as a segment in a game with other gameplay like Klonoa: Empire of Dreams does, but a whole game of Sonic? I don't know what to do with all that speed.
