Back to back blogs. This might be a first for 2018, and we’re in September. Good morning Pixlpeeps! Since we are at the end of the week I should be doing a number of things: laundry, grinding in various iOS games, cleaning, etc. Instead I just finished breakfast while watching some YouTube videos about people who convert vans into living spaces, and thinking about how I should approach today’s Quick Hits. Usually I kind of have a loose plan in my head about what I want to write about, and after I put everything onto digital paper, I think of other things to talk about…two hours later, after I upload it. Today I figured why not just ramble on about randoms and see how it goes. Let’s get started!

Chris Watches…

NFL - Fox: Pro football is back and to be honest I didn’t watch, with the exception of the last two plays of the game. To be truthful I really don’t care about the pro game as much as the college game. I love college football, I like the NFL. Sure I follow the Dallas Cowboys, and I listen to a Cowboys podcast and watch their games, but if they’re not playing I will rarely watch. I kind of have to follow the Raiders because my uncle is a big Raiders fan and he calls on Sunday nights wanting to talk about the game. Anyways it’s nice to finally have football from Thursday through Monday.

Big Brother - CBS: It is amazing to see how bad some “Super Fans” are at the game they love to watch. It’s also going to be amazing to see how a bitter jury is going to affect the game because they’re still bitter that they got booted even if they suck at the game.

 

Randoms…

- I discovered the world’s slowest gas pump a couple of days ago and took a picture

 

It was going so slow that I could take out my phone from my pocket, snap a clear picture of the numbers, text this picture to my friend, put the phone back into my pocket and still didn’t hit $23. It was an eternity just to hit $30.

 

- Why does Facebook do this?

Games

Well I finally got one of the Mario games I was eyeing for a while

 

I got Mariokart 8 for the Switch at Target. On their website it is on sale for $45, but in store it’s still at retail. All the employee had to do was whip out their phone, make the adjustment and I was good to go. They also had a mountain of these Pokemon code cards. I grabbed one

 

Toys

Target is barren when it comes to Hot Wheels but the local Walmart is starting to get back to where they used to be and I found some cool cars

 

Reseller guy is back and cleaned out the Fast and Furious cars but I found a couple I like. The big car I wanted and finally found in the wild is the GoPro car. You can connect a GoPro Session to it and then let it race around a Hot Wheels track. I don’t have a Session but if I ever need another GoPro this might sway me to it.

 

Techy Stuff

I may have bought this stuff with the Hot Wheels when I was supposed to be buying bottled water and other grocery items. First off

 

I bought an iXpand Flash Drive that has a lightning port so I can connect it to an iDevice and watch video, listen to music, and copy photos. I bought it because I am going on a trip and I would like to pull movies off of my travel laptop and watch them either on my phone or iPad.

 

I was also looking for a cable bag that wasn’t so wide as my current one and Walmart had a bag only for $5 or for $4.50 a bag that I wanted in the size I wanted that came with some stuff

 

 

It comes with a 3350 mAh battery pack, a lightning cable, micro usb cable, car lighter adaptor, and a wall adaptor. I really don’t need the two adaptors because I already have my own so they will go in a bag of random techy stuff. The pouch has enough room for my new swanky flash drive, my battery pack, and some cables. My travel pack is getting smaller and smaller which is always good news.

 

Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. There’s a marathon of one of those shows where they buy houses, fix them up, and resell them, all while making it look easy, and I got sucked in. Have a good weekend!
